Hated shopping there anyway. I understand the need for inventory control and theft prevention. But, I felt like I was being watched closely. Very uncomfortable.

No Goody's won't be closing. Goody's is more focused on having stores in more rural areas. So the local Goody's should be fine! Dawahares was a nice store, sad to see them close. I would go there to buy UK apparel because they actually had good sales.

How many employees does the local Dawhares have. That is the sad part of all this.

This is sad news. I used to come in town all the time to buy sport coats to wear with my jeans. They usually had good deals. Hate to see them go.

Hope neither of the stores close in Corbin we need all the stores that we have in the area to remain open. The ecomony is terrible and losing jobs anywhere in the USA is sad!

OMG yeah Dawahares is closing-went to Middlesboro today and they said on Tuesday a liquadation company would be there and give them the date in which the doors would be locked for good after 101 years. I agree they dont offer alot of items compared to the large retail stores but it is nice to keep some options and if Goodys dont recover we are left with Belks, JCP"S, & Walmart-I think Wally world has been nice to have but the mom and pop stores cannot keep up.
