Thx man... it wasn't right. Just outta nowhere. I'm not sure how the processes here work in Louisville... but since it's a felony charge, plus 3 others, that they put on me, it goes to the grand jury, and then there's a jury trial... it's many steps in the process... also, yeah, so the LMPD can just jump u like that? Just for walk'n to the store? Just for cross'n the street? Just for walk'n? Talk about a police state. I've lost faith in Louisville b/c of this bull. To protect and serve? Who were they protect'n and serv'n? Certainly not me... or anybody else. I wasn't argu'n w/ anybody... I wasn't around anybody... there was absolutely nothing that I was doing that looked off... meanwhile, they're cuss'n at me, they about run me over, and then they stop'n in the middle of 4th street and M street, just right in the middle, to finish'n pick'n this mofo'er off... it was a drive by hit... it was a jump'n... it was, "I'm boss of this city, and I can break whatever laws I want to, and there's nothing you, or anybody else, can do about it!" It was some bull man.

Speaking in tongues is mild. Up in Eastern Kentucky they handle snakes and drink poison.

Aren't they "The Holy Rollers" that handle snakes, drink poison and speak in tongues? I'm not sure I'd want to go to that church. Very scary stuff.

Mostly but the tongues are growing in popularity from Catholics on down. The sad thing has tongues in the bible were actually spoken worldly languages not the stupid fake sounds people make today. It was meant as a way to spread the Gospel and fake religion has turned it into a lie.

1 Corinthians 13:8-10 (KJV)
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.[9] For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.[10] But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

Read that carefully! Now we have the perfect written Word to spread the Gospel so tongues should cease.

I see what you're saying. Also, when a person speaks in tongues, isn't he/she supposed to have an interpreter there? In other words, isn't the "tongues" supposed to be a true language?

I'm like you, though. I don't believe speaking in tongues is a true happening these days. We are under a new covenant, aren't we? This is in Hebrew, chapter 8, I believe. Or does the new covenant have anything to do with speaking in tongues?

I have to get off now. But I'll be back on tomorrow morning, and I'll see your answer then. Have a good evening, and thanks for answering my post.

"8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears."

Here's the NIV version, which is 10 times better than King James' version... he's a creep anyways. Look at him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_VI_and_I

So there's several noticeable differences, mine starts out w/ LOVE... and yours, Charity... but they are just talk'n about peoples tongues. That's it. Say'n in the land where there's things, eventually, there will not be things... so "tongues" are the people's speaking abilities, and those speaking abilities will be taken away. It doesn't support, nor negate, some "Christian" churches "speaking in tongues". I think it's just a weird fad, that's catch'n on in these weird clique-ish Mormon or Pentecostal cults out here.

my friend don't look past the kjv. The word charity was a very strong word for love. In Greek it was "agape".
It is the love of God in a believer excerised outwardly toward someone else.
Most people don't like it but I really enjoy the Geneva Bible its just hard to get a mobile version.
