I liked the fact that for my second interview they took me to the field so I could actually see for myself what it was...they showed me that it was lead based marketing, advertising and customer service for a huge name client, AT&T,on a residential campaign. So how were they covering it up? I hadn't even been offered a position yet and they didn't just tell me, they showed me! Lots of legitimate companies go through contracted marketing consulting practices for more effective, personable forms of marketing and servicing their clients. I liked that the clients were at home and comfortable and not rushed or treated like a number or sitting on hold with a call center to get serviced, instead they got to put a face to the name of their provider and make sure that they knew exactly what they were getting. I loved how excited the customers were by the time we left and that's why I was so happy when Michael offered me a job. I accepted immediately and stayed for 8 months until my husbands job forced us to relocate to the Midwest. If we ever go back to Louisville, I have friends and a good paying, secure job to return to. I learned a lot about people, business and marketing in that 8 months and that, to me, is irreplaceable. I highly recommend that you at least go to the interview, they might not even offer you a position but if they do it's still up to you if you accept or decline. They completely understand that it's not for everybody but you guys just seem to be letting others make your mind up for you. That will surely bight you in the butt one day!

Although I am on maternity leave, I just wanted to share my experience with M&K Consulting. I love working for this company! Call me biased or whatever but if you are considering a career with this consulting firm do not pass an opportunity if you are asked to interview.

Obviously every company has disgruntled employees but the people that do not succeed in this business aren't going to be successful in ANY business. Those are the same people looking for a JOB not a CAREER.

At the start of 2015 I will be opening my own office and I started out at the entry level as well. To those ruining potential future managers spirits- shame on you. I not bragging just expressing to those on the fence about interviewing with M&K- those 15 minutes changed my life. But hey what can ya do? Success isn't for everyone :)

So LouisvilleLady84, you went to the home of an AT&T representative? Why not their office? and how do you get your leads for people or companies using this service?

Just look at their website, they even say they are a 'full service marketing and sales company'. How is that being 'disguised'?
Anyone can have their own website. I used to for a small store I had. Very easy to set up.

They can say whatever they want to say. Click on their site and watch the annoying globe go around and around. click on client's = none listed click on employees = one listed. The owner. Listen to the music - it won't stop until you make it stop.

M&K is an absolute scam. Cydcor is a pyramid scam in itself. Google cydcor and you will see for yourself. They want everyone to think that they can become owners of their own business but they have to fill people's heads with nonsense so they can keep making money. Everyone there is fake and they pretend to be your friend and care about you. The job blows. You go in early in the morning to "teach and learn" you have to stand in "atmosphere" for hours before having to "hit the field" and go knocking on doors trying to get people to sign up for AT&T Uverse. Technically it is illegal because you are soliciting without a permit. They have you lie to the police and you get kicked out of your "territory" all the time. You get on bell by getting apps for uverse. Even if you are "on bell" or "on standards" it is still never good enough because Michael Papa will still yell at everyone at the end of the night and tell them that it is not good enough. To move through the stages and get promoted, you have to build a team. Meaning you have to lie to people and trick people into thinking they will make it big. and then THEY have to lie and trick people. Once you get enough people fooled, they have to make a certain amount of money in a certain amount of days to be promoted. They preach about office rules but they have their favorites and they will sweep things under the rug and let them get away with breaking these rules.(if you are in the right clique) for example there is a no dating in the office rule (or sleeping with) well there are A LOT of people who break that rule. This place is a joke. Everyone talks about oh, look me up in a few years and go ahead and work paycheck to paycheck... Who cares???? Not everyone is money hungry and greedy. I do not have the heart to scam people and trick them into wasting their lives trying to get somewhere when they are clearly going no where. Sure, some people do make it and become successful. I have seen it happen. BUT they only get like that by being fake to everyone and using people. Oh and lying to them. It is a scam! and when they want you gone, they will make up lies about you in order to justify firing you (even if it wasn't investigated) Women have to wear high heels and stand in them for hours and are told they HAVE TO wear makeup. Women can wear flats on Fridays though, and sneakers on Saturdays.(and yes it is 6 days a week) you go in about 10 in the morning and don't leave the office until about 10 at night. sometimes later because of bells ceremony and leader's meeting. It is such a joke. If you have children, you become a bad parent, if you have friends, you lose them all. You can not have a life AND work here. M&K becomes your life. You don't get reimbursed for gas either. And you are forced to work with people you don't like because they are your "future business partners" it is so stupid. It is a complete waste of time. Horrible place to work. The people on here that are saying this place is good are the ones who have been brainwashed and tricked into thinking they could be something someday. They say "the system works" bla bla bla. NO, the system is designed to play on people's weaknesses so you can TRICK them into signing up with you. The whole place is based on unethical practices and it is run by immoral people.

I work for this company and have been employed here for over a year. I am very close to getting promoted to an assistant manager position and I love what I do. I am able to teach others, train and interview for this company, as well as meet with current clients to help them out with their telecommunication needs. This job is not a scam but I have come to the conclusion that not a lot of people want to work hard and have nothing better to do with their time then talk bad about other companies.
"This company is aggressively interview but not aggressively hiring." If you didn't get the job it's okay just don't waste your time writing bad reviews.

Made the mistake of going in for an "interview " last fall. Asked a few direct questions about the company and received everything but a direct answer. Later inquired with the BBB and was politely advised that they have no "official" knowledge of the organization but had received some feedback and my time would be better served applying to a legitimate organization. A woman (former rep.)met said she received better sales training slinging cookies for the Girl Scouts.

You have to be kidding me. If you don't succeed there you won't succeed anywhere??? You're jodie are crazy. I'm not there anymore. I don't have anything to say about the biz but I promis you I could out sell you out train you and out interview you. I'm with another company now and very successful. Funny thing about it is. I probably trained someone who trained someone who trained you.

TO THE FORMER WITH THE HUGE RANT GUESSING ITS A WOMAN SINCE BROUGHT UP WEARING HIGH HEELS.
THIS IS MY REPLY.
Lol what a rant. You feel better? I don't work there anymore but I had to comment on this. I'll break a few things down that you went a little over the top with. First it's not illegal to pitch without a permit. some neighborhoods yes very much so but that isn't even close to 1/3 of the territory you get. And before I go on I want you to know I'm not sticking up for anyone just going by facts instead of disgruntled employee syndrome. If the police came I'm sure no one held a gun to your head to lie to them you did that on your own. Could of just left. Just saying. Not everyone is fake I have really good friends still after years of not being there. If we are going off that, shit most of the people you will work with anywhere will be fake. The dating thing... That is a rule for almost every job still people don't care if they wanna hook up they will. And if you hooked up with anyone there that statement is hypocritical. I will have to say you are correct not everyone wants to make millions but we all do want to live comfortably and paycheck to paycheck is not comfortable. It's actually very stressful. Bells and leaders meetings are lengthy. Don't get me wrong. That goes both ways though. I'm sure you were not complaining when you rang the big bell or even the small one. It's when you don't ring a bell and you know you're the one he is talking about in leaders meeting. But that's here nor there. As far as the parent thing goes. It doesn't make you a bad parent. I seen a girl get promoted that had one kid and was pregnant when she got promoted. That lady happens to be a millionaire. Which is irrelevant but she did it while being a great parent. You loose friends your right. But I'm sure you have never lost one friend from moving or leaving high school or hell another job. It is your life at that point your right but to be honest I have an another job that is quite different now which takes almost as much time. And yes the the gas you do get back you just didn't do what they informed you to do actually in a business like this you can write off gas, work clothes, food while working on your taxes. You have to save all your receipts and write it off just like if you take clothes to goodwill. And as far as a horrible place to work and a waste of time I would have to disagree for the sole fact everyone is for the most part are upbeat with a good attitude and I have a great career now and if you ask me I wouldn't be where I am today if I didn't have that experience. And the number one thing that made me reply to this post.... The system does work. It's not to trick or lie to anyone it shows you how to find the customers interest and needs to show them the bennifit of why they should sign up with you. And it teaches good work habits which I'm refurring to the 8s. I use it everyday and my customers are happy and I have been #1 at my store since I have started my new career.

I think my dad is an IT consultant. I know that he is in charge of a lot of the computers. He is always making sure that everyone's system is running fine and that everyone has what they need. I think it would be fun to be a consultant mainly because you get to help solve computer issues. Since a lot of what we have is online, we are in need of IT consultants to help us use the technology. http://www.networkplanetinc.com/index.php/sup...
