This job is not a scam but I have come to the conclusion that not a lot of people want to work hard and have nothing better to do with their time then talk bad about other companies.
"This company is aggressively interview but not aggressively hiring." If you didn't get the job it's okay just don't waste your time writing bad reviews.
"This company is aggressively interview but not aggressively hiring." Sounds to me like they are wasting a lot of people's time. I would rather have a company take time to review my resume and see if I'm the right fit. Do not interview everyone that applies and then hire a few of them. This is inconsiderate and an overall waste of time for these candidates.

I have the opportunity to interview and I can decide if I should. Are there any products you have to buy before entering the company? I applied at another place called vector which was a pyramid scheme. I'm wondering if this is the same thjng.?

This company is a joke. They stalked me for an interview for three days and everytime I tried to return the calls it would just ring and ring and then go to a fax machine. They finally started emailing me instead so I gave in and scheduled an interview for ten the next day. I arrived on time to a room full of people waiting like a doctors office to be called back for their turn. I waited forty minutes before getting up and telling the girl behind the counter I wasnt interested. Dont waste my time because I dont have much of it. Everyone in there looked under the age of 25. They need to take some ponters on how it works in the real world.

I have been through companies like this, and it isn't ppl "wasting their time talking bad about other companies" this is a forum where ppl can discuss stuff and get opinions from other ppl in similar situations. Don't hate, and you are prob one of the ppl that work there trying to sucker ppl into that shitty job. Take some advice guys. If you have to try hard and search for what a company is, and have to ask if it's a scam. Then it is. Don't waste your time

After I graduated college I wasted so much time going through Interviews at companies like these. it's not that I didn't want to "work hard". I just wanted a legit place that had a legit plan for a future with my career. Best of luck, but if it was me, I would pass for a better job.

Is M&K a door to door sales job?

I moved to Louisville and was looking for a job and came across this "company" after a phone interview, which was pretty limited and seemed kind of shady, but i decided to follow through with a second in house interview. The second interview was a total joke! They literally take you with them directly into the field and have you going with their half trained salespeople knocking on doors. Im not sure if its considered door to door sales since the doors threy knock on are actually provided from the consumer they are representing at the time. Regardless, i wasnt sticking around for the job because it is clearly a pyrmaid scheme. If you are fine wih scamming other people into believing its a good job and that you can get rich, then its the place for you. Otherwise, dont even waste your time. When i was there, there were 23 total employees and about a month later i ran into the guy that i was in the field with for that one single day, and he informed me the company had dwindled down to the "top 3 clowns" that were runing the scam since the beginning.... Long story short ITS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME FOR ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A REAL JOB!!!

We all search and search for a company with career goals, and opportunity. We all wish for advancement and money. The only thing that I have noticed is people want what I just expressed but they never want to work. I can promise you that if you don't work hard for what you want you will NEVER get it no matter where you are or what career you pursue! I work for M&K Consulting and I can honestly say that I have never been happier - the work environment is amazing! And weird, the management actually CARES if I do well and they are willing to help me at all cost! I have a college degree and I know that if I work anywhere else they wouldn't provide me with the opportunity that I create for myself here. I come from a family of entrepreneurs, therefore, I know that if I want to make more than everyone else I have to work harder than everyone else! I love my career that is why it bothers me when people write so negatively about my work place. We DO NOT hire everyone - actually, we are very picky. And yes, we do actively look for future candidates because we hire based on our clients needs! My suggestion, if you don't know much about a company don't assume - because it looks to me that everyone who wrote negatively hasn't worked here - the only negative posts I have seen are people who haven't worked here.

I have worked for "commission only" companies selling advertising. It is very hard to pay for your gas and living expenses in the beginning. The idea is your desperation will drive you to "make the sale" because you NEED money. That is the mentality for the initial motivation. The problem is....this is the real world and if you don't have a little money built up until you get the hang of selling..you will find it difficult to stay focused. Not everyone has a sales personality and not everyone can afford to go a month without paying their bills. There are many opportunities to learn these same skills working for companies who will pay you what is called a "draw" until you start making a living with your commission. If your young and still live at home with not many bills and parents who can support you then M&K does have an opportunity for you. You have to believe in what you sell. If you don't...you won't be good at selling it. Take it from someone who has been in sales for years and owned 2 businesses.

Firstly, "shady" aint the word for M&K, "legit" is more like it. I know a couple of people that work there and actually have their own offices in other states. I was opportuned to intern there for 3 months and I learnt and developed invaluable management skills sets which are currently helping me in my own business now. Some of the things i readily recall about my time there was the team support system (which is awesome) and the positive work atmosphere. I definitely DO NOT regret my time there 'cos it was eye-opening and I will advise anyone seeking to own a business in the near future to check M&K out.

For all the people doubting the unbelievable opportunity this company gives every person that walks through these doors.PLEASE LOOK UP CYDCOR and read the story behind what most people would shrug off as a door to door but a long term plan that is visible in every way once you are there longer than 1 day.2 out of every 250 people are hired. This place is a life changer, the people are real, the numbers are real, the opportunity is real. Please put the doubt to rest and no need to worry about us cause we 'll just be Indifferent ; )...can't talk specific numbers but all 30 of us will make more money than every person on this website combined EVER.

I just had my first interview via phone. As mentioned above, when I asked what exactly I'd be doing, the response was "That is more for your second interview." I found this very strange along with the fact I can't find much about the company on the Internet that's not vague. Can any employee or former emploee of HK explain why they are so secretive of what they do? If not, I have a hard time taking the "employee's" comments above seriously.
I totally agree. My daughter received a call from them asking her to come in for an interview. I told her to call them back and ask what their services were. She did and they really couldn't tell her anything that relieved my suspicions. She insists on going to this interview because they told her their we're benefits and insurance. The person on the phone said she would watch for my daughter as she walked into the lobby. LOBBY? Of what establishment? There were so many RED FLAGS as my daughter continued to tell me about their extremely vague conversation. I called the BBB and they had nothing to give me that assured me they were trust worthy. They are not BBB accredited. But there were also no complaints. I'm sure they are legit; but, the fact that they are so vague about their mission or services and about job descriptions, this makes it less appealing for the more seasoned working man/woman.

OMG I literally laughed out loud at this. I thought the same thing when all of the sudden, everyone has a bunch of super nice things to say about the company on that one specific day Haha. Good call! I had an interview today that I have officially decided not to attend after review of this message board. Also I called them this morning to verify my interview time and the number that the manager gave me was definitely a cell phone that I never received a return phone call from (even though I clearly listed my number twice in the voicemail). I'm really glad I didnt waste my time.

I have an interview there this morning in the Louisville office. I have experience in the field with saber management setting appointments for preneed funeral arrangements, thecompanies seem similar. From the reviews i have read from people wgo actually have a relationship with the company it seems as though if a person is willing to work hard and has a positive attitude it would be a grwat opportunity. However, i have one question. Is it commision based only?

I have an interview with this company today and I'm kind of leary of even wasting my time.
Just for fun.. say I did get a position with this company... And I leave the job I currently have (which I have been with for over 10 years now)... Would it be worth it? Will they still need me after a month? how are they paid?
I am unsure of which comments to believe or and which ones to ignore.
Does anyone have any updated info or input?
