When the time comes that they hire there will be plenty word on it. The fact is that they are closing plants and will offer transfers to the effected.
Perhaps by the time LAP hires after the retooling for a new product (we hope) all of those people will be placed and they will hire off the street.
Look for a start pay of about $14.00 and a top out at 15 or so and no insurance.
Don't pay any attention to the guy above. Hes a Hoosier

I'm sure the person making $14hr ,which is just enough for a seedy apartment in loserville, will be completely focused on car building while he/she are worrying about how to pay their LG@E bill. Toyota still pays old union scale wages AND makes a profit for the shareholders AND provides a service to car buyers looking for well made cars . Fu@# ford

Is that like blacks using the rally cry "remember slavery"? or the american indians remembering all the broken treaties the white man gave them, or that this was their land? im thinking we all are better off not hanging on to past greviences done to our ancestors by long dead people...what do you think about that ?

I think that those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
The Japanese would take this country and kill every one of us if they could.

I agree.

When Pres. Obama went to Japan a couple of weeks ago, he was asked by the Japanes leader, "what was his thoughts on the Atomic Bomb".

He wouldn't answer the question.

Just the Japanese leader asking this question, lets us know that the attack is still fresh on their minds.

It is not a question of remembering or not remembering our past, even past history. It's our choice not to live in the past or by the past as most people do. The English did their utmost to destroy the Scottish culture and at the very least tranport it to the New World and out of the British Isles but lo and behold it didn't happen. The Scottish culture is alive and well in Scotland plus the North American continent and New Zealand and Australia. Some of my best friends are English and we get along good together, forgetting what went down amongst our ancestors. We are not forgetting history. We just choose not to live in it. It's not what happened yesteryear but what is happening in the present that is the most important. I know all the cliches about history and lightening but what is happening today definitely affects tomorrow. We can't change the past but we do have a say so what happens in the future.

No, we have been beaten by Obama, he is the one who keeps blaming everything on everyone else or thing.

"Bush did it, no BP did it, no our representatives did it, no, the man in the moon did it, no, maybe, it was Santa Claus or the tooth fairy or the boogie man, etc.".

Someone who constantly blames others is because it is a way of saying; " I don't know what the heck I am doing, gotta blame someone, so I can win the popularity contest that I was elected on....it sure wasn't my expertise in Community Organizing".
