Is Hikes Point a good compromise between a good and bad neighborhood?

You don't want to live in the Hikes Point area these days. That's been answered on another post in this forum. I will say that the problem with Hikes Point is that its been taken over by the Section 8 and criminal classes of Blacks and illegal aliens. Hikes Point is nothing like Bardstown Road in the Highlands, Frankfort Avenue, anywhere in that vicinity. Hikes Point is one of the 1940s and 50s suburbs that popped up around Louisville back in those days when GE, Ford Motor Company, etc moved in and expanded at their present locations.

The area has seen much better days as now it is becoming a crime infested area. Home invasions, property crimes galore, and the rare killing. You have apartments in that area which are nothing but Section 8 type slums because the losers from places like Newburg, Buechel, West Buechel, and primarily the West End moved there. Seems to be a lot of crime around anywhere with an apartment and of course the usual break-ins by the goons.

You have to realize that Hikes has became an extension of those places listed above with the urban problems that you would find in the Rangeland Road area of Newburg or pretty much anywhere else.

If you're interested in a bit better area maybe try past Hurstbourne Pkwy in Jeffersontown and anywhere further east of Hurstbourne. Less crim in general or you can always try NE Louisville. Even though I moved out of the city in 2012, I would still consider those two areas from say Hurstbourne Pkwy east or even down towards Fern Creek, Highview, Mt. Washington. Those areas haven't been totally over run by losers yet.

If you're going to try anything in Louisville these days and not deal with a lot of wackos and people with serious crime issues, you're looking at the far East End or far South End. Although one might also notice that Bullitt Co has its share of garbage too. Its just that most of them aren't the type of inner city toughs and gang bangers you would find in the less desirable areas of Louisville.

Try these zip codes on for size because if you do a city data search on them, you'll find what you are looking for as well. I'm seperating the better zips from the higher crime zips. Look these zips up on City and you'll see some major differences in crime, incomes, etc.

Good zip codes: 40207, 40222, 40223, 40228, 40241, 40242, 40243, 40245, 40059, 40299, 40291

Bad zip codes: 40202, 40203, 40204, 40206, 40208, 40210, 40211, 40212, 40213, 40214, 40215, 40216, 40218, 40219, 40220 Hikes Point, 40272, 40258. Most of these have high crime rates that the ones up above. Lower and cheaper rents and housing costs, etc.

Just do some contrast and compare.

If you don't want to deal with typical negro crime and behavior, don't move anywhere in Louisville period.

The closer you get to St. Matthews the better. The closer you get to Newburg, the worse you get.

Actually St. Matthews is being overrun with the feral subhuman negroes as we speak. Many landlords are going to the dark side and starting to do section 8 for the apes.
Trust me when I say this: NO part of Louisville is nice anymore. Not even Jeffersontown. Each and every location in Louisville is being overrun by the unevolved ape negroes.

What about Jtown and Middletown? That's why we moved to a neighboring county.

J-Town is nice if you move far away enough. But there are more and more negroes around every single day. It used to be price restrictive enough here to not allow negroes entry: I assume some filthy landlord went section 8. I just can't see how the negroes are affording it out here.
