Bwaaahahahahaha, AB!! Go figure, I slept right through the "Big Shake Out" period today! But four whole hours of sleep and I'm a new woman!?!?!
Let's rock this joint, Bird peeps!
Insomnia hits me so often, I can be totally exhausted, and then POOF! A paltry four hours of sleep and I feel like a billion bucks?? This is wonderful and I feel better today than I have in well over a week. I've always heard that the older you get, the less sleep you need. Guess that's what's going on...
:)
But I had a very vivid dream, as mine seem to always be. I always dream in color, more like HD, hehe. In this one, I was in Alaska riding my Harley through the beautiful mountains and could even smell the pines and forests. Going up and down mountain highways so fast that I felt my stomach going "anti-gravity", LOL!! Such a refreshing and wonderful dream it was!
I've been to Alaska before and it's one of the few places that I'd love to go back to again before the Lord calls me home. If any of you have never been there and get the chance, DO NOT pass it up. It's an awe inspiring place.
Anyhow, enjoy this one too:

Looks like everyone did. Everyone I talked to today I ask if they did the shake, shake, shake and no one had heard of it. hahaha, Glad it wasn't the real thing.

Thanks for the Guess Who reminder. I love them. Here are a couple of my favorites from way back when:

I guess I like the 70's music best. Although I know alot of 50's and 60's from big sis. lol

My trucker friend that died use to go to Alaska every year for a month to another childhood friend that lives there. The pictures and stories he told. Wow, I would love to see Alaska before I check out, but Maui is on my bucket list. haha

I miss the Halibut he always had shipped back for big fish fries and BBQ. He loved to put it on the grill. Some of the best fish I ever ate. I wish I would have gotten his recipes.:(

For all you forgetful people...hahaha I have to go sit back down and think what the heck did I go in that room for...Lightbulb? Oh, yeah....more than I like to admit. This caught my eye when scanning the news..

Whew! What a relief to learn this...

Ever walk into a room with some purpose in mind, only to completely forget what that purpose was?

Turns out, doors themselves are to blame for these strange memory lapses.

Psychologists at the University of Notre Dame have discovered that passing through a doorway triggers what's known as an Event Boundary in the mind,
separating one set of thoughts and memories from the next. Your brain files away the thoughts you had in the previous room and prepares a blank slate
for the new locale.

Thank goodness for studies like this. It's not our age, it's that damn door!

Did I send this to you already?

Blizzard alert: Northeast snowstorm could be among the worst of all time

A crippling and potentially historic winter storm barreled toward the Northeast on Thursday, threatening tens of millions of people with 2 feet of snow. Airlines encouraged fliers to change their plans and get out of the way.

Sad after Hurricane Sandy and all they have tried to rebuild since then, those poor people still out of their homes and now this...Hope it stays North of the Ohio River. I like this 60 degrees after our cold spell.

@AB if you catch a chicken and it is squawking, turn in up side down and it can't squawk or it calms it or something.

Not dangle it by it's feet, but just lay it over on it's back and it will be quiet.

I needed a chocolate fix too and end up making Devil Foods Chocolate cupcakes and cream cheese icing. That is all I had in the house chocolate, didn't have enough cocoa to make fudge. I have to have my chocolate once a day at least. I have been known to get in the car and drive to the store for some chocolate. haha

Jeepers peepers: Mistrial called when guy loses eyeball on the stand

Don't you just hate it when you're testifying in court and your eye pops out, throwing the courtroom into chaos and forcing the judge to declare a mistrial? That happened to John Huttick, who took the stand Wednesday at a Philadelphia assault trial to describe how losing his eye in a bar fight had cost him his job, his home and nearly his girlfriend. Huttick wept as he listed his woes, which apparently caused his $3,000 prosthetic eyeball to pop out of its socket. He caught it, but not before the alarmed jury caught sight of it. The judge scheduled a new trial, calling the event "unfortunate" and (yes, he went there) "unforeseen." [Source]

I have to catch one every now and then, some are just stubborn and don't want to go in at night when I want them to. Then I have one that won't climb up on the roosting perches that I built, but it sits swaying back and forth all night long on an electric cord that runs across the ceiling area. I don't hardly see how it even holds on, but it seems to like it up there.

It is funny to watch them go roost at night. They always pick the same seats.
