A devout Hindu was refused his death wish, a pyre cremation. This practice, of course, is prohibited by law. I am a " green" person to a certain extent, but would prefer to be laid to rest this way. I would rather my corpse be dealt with by family and friends than to be handled by strangers. Sent off the right way. It's a shame to be subjugated to a humiliation this way. We have the choice of doctors, shopping, online business. It's simple really...let people rest in peace. We are taught to live by faith, but does that end with death. Sad.

Hi Lala. I'm having a good one. I just sat down for a couple minutes before doing dishes...yippie - not! lol I think some folks medication has ran out here at the end of the month. hehe Then there are other folks that didn't run out of money and bought theirself some new socks, well one new sock anyhow. LOL You just never know who those sock wearing people will turn on next.

Hey did you see my post several days ago about those "smart meters" the electric companies are wanting to put on people's houses? A couple of women have already been arrested for trying to stop them from installing them on their houses. I haven't read up on them but I thought maybe you had.

At the end of every day, we have to face ourselves. Death comes to all of us. And what you do to others will come back to you sevenfold! Today is a beaut here in eastern Ky. The birds are chirping prettily. Bees have been carrying beebread like crazy to several of my Dad's stands. Might be a good year for honey. Nothing like honey, butter and toast. Life is good if you make it that way;)
Hey Kevin, why are you all misty eyed? Enjoy your beautiful day, it won't last long. It is nice and warm and little windy, but no sun. Just drab, overcast skies. I did have birds chirping this morning though.

You are fortunate to have busy bees, or bees at all. The scientists are worried about the bee population. You are right about the honey, butter, and toast (biscuits too). They say raw honey is the best and from our research on survival early in the thread it NEVER goes bad and serves many uses besides making things taste better. I buy mine from the Amish whether I need any or not.

Have a good day Kevin.:)

You are a LIAR. Show us. I barely post on any other site and I do change my name to reflect the subject on what few I have posted i.e. the ditch mitch, told them it was me, here. On the other threads IF I post it is one or two times and the name would reflect the subject like Ky Basketball..i.e true blue etc..that is nothing compared to the fakery you present. Spinning your names and showing your true colors. You are the troll and the stalker, keep spinning. Not you or any troll like you messes with my mind. Only loved ones and tragedies mess with my mind. Nothing else. Certainly not a spinning troll.

I see the superbowl ads will cost a meer 3.5 million dollars for a thirty second spot. So they must recoop 3.5 million before the first penny of profit is seen. And will one of these companies have been bailed out in the last four years...anyway, I'll eat my wings and watch the commercials maybe even some of the game.

Good afternoon Humpaburn. You and Biscuit need to try out for some of those ads and get in on the big bucks. I can see it now, you & Little Humper toking on a joint while slugging down a Budweiser. LOL.

Yes, I have read about them. It's another way for the government to control our lives. It works like this. The meters tell how much electricity you use, compared to an arbitrary government standard. So, through indirect means, the government may require citizens to maintain homes at 68 degrees, and if you use more than the set standard, you will probably have to pay a penalty. I'm not sure exactly what penalty will be recommended. The rules and regulations have yet to be developed. It's supported by environmentalists.

For Hemburn, lala, and Ancient Wolf (all dog lovers) This is just too cute. I love it.

Evil fence nearly outsmarts dog, until he gets a little help
Teddy Roosevelt taught us all to speak softly and carry a big stick, but what do you do when your big stick prevents you from getting where you want to go? That is the quandary facing the poor pup in this video, as he just can't seem to figure out how to get his prized possession through a hole in the fence. It takes a few tries and plenty of whining, but eventually his owner comes over and helps his best friend out of a jam. As it turns out, dogs are not terribly good at spatial reasoning. How sad.

Which is why I do not usually respond to a post unless they have been a long term and somewhat respectable participant even though I disagree with them. I have and still disagree with "Sybil" LOL I just think he is a bit over zealous and paranoid and he knows it. But my opinion does not upset him and vice versa.

Notice I said "usually". Most ofter I just say @ so and so. But if I do reply and it gets deleted "that's just the way the Mercedes Benz".

I do have to agree with AB in that I do not think nor have ever believed it is the "NOPE" poster even though her profile says she "edits" a few towns around her location. Edit can mean many things.

i highly admire the old ancient wolf

he is wise ,
he is very refreshing in this new age of fools
why waste the savings of a life time, on late -in - life medical expenses and nursing homes ,..
why prolong the agony ,
why are we forced to essentially die alone , gasping our last breath in an antiseptic room full of strangers
as you grow old ,.. you are forced to depleted your fortune,... the money you skimped and saved over a lifetime
maybe that money should go the grandchildren -
people are wasting five thousand dollars a month, in order to keep grandma alive for a few more months or years,..
all within the walls of an abusive nursing home , where foreign born , uncaring under paid CNAs will only wipe your 'rear end' once a day ,...if you are lucky
You are very perceptive, for that is exactly what happens. The only way to get around it is for a loving family member to be present near his or her loved one. I had been a consultant for many years in nursing homes and hospitals, and the things I saw bothered me terribly. My job was on the line many times because I chose to advocate for the patient. I have drawn up a living, revocable trust for my farm, giving it to our adopted son following our deaths. That avoids probate costs and after 7 years, it provides protection from nursing home costs. I have in a will, instructions for an equitable distribution of remaining assets. Everyone who has growing children, or grandchildren, should make some provision for them prior to our end of mortal life. It is sad when you are financially worth more dead than alive.

BIRD story:

Pope's holy dove attacked by evil secular seagull
If the pope didnít believe in Darwinism before, we bet he does now. Pope Benedict XVI released a dove from his window in Vatican City's St. Peter's Square yesterday, only to see it attacked by a seagull, enacting a tiny drama of "survival of the fittest." The dove must have a guardian angel looking out for it, because it outmaneuvered the ungainly gull and flew away to safety. Doves are a ceremonial symbol used to mark the end of prayers and reflect the tranquility of the Christian faith. Seagulls are stomachs with wings that poop everywhere and can easily ruin beach picnics.

Good afternoon lala, I hope you are feeling better today although it looks like aches and pains will increase over the next few days. Have you ever used those Therma Wraps? I use the ones for knees now and then when my left one is aching. Mostly do to cold, damp weather.
They say we will have 70 degree weather today with a possible 60-70 mile hour winds, storms and possibly tornados. Looks like it will be mostly south of me, but it isn't by much from their weather map. I still might get it. It is warm and slight wind now. Overcast. AW is lucky to have seen a spot of sunlight with his deer visitors this morning. I haven't seen any.
I seen this video and thought of you and my horse lovers in my family. My neice adored it:
Budweiser now on Twitter, asks followers to name a horse
Hallelujah, Budweiser has finally opened a Twitter account. The company was prevented from using the site before the platform introduced age-identifying software (Bud can't market to customers under 21, duh). To make up for its slow start out of the gate, good ol' Bud is asking its followers to name its next ... Clydesdale thoroughbred? Huh? Yup, the company wants its fans to help create a moniker for the two-week-old Clydesdale foal that will star in this year's Budweise Superbowl ad. Some of the cooler suggestions so far? "Buddakup," "Hops," and "Sport." We'd opt for "Retweet." [Source]
http://now.msn.com/budweisers-first-tweet-ask...
They should of used a website to click on instead of twitter. I don't use twitter, never will. He is a cutie, isn't he?
Enjoy your day!
Very cute. I'm partial to "Buddakup."
