Actually I am not a Joel Osteen fan. I think he is no doubt more of a motivational speaker than an actual bible preacher. I agree with you, Joyce Meyer seems too brassy as you put it and really just angry to me. It is a turn off. BUT, considering where she came from and all that she has gone through in her life, no doubt I would be angry too. It is nothing but a miracle that she came out of what she was in and is now what and where she is. I know that a lot of her sermons help a lot of people who are going through similar things that she did. She helps a lot of people.I must add here that I do enjoy listening to Joel Osteen on occasion. He's motivating and his messages on human interaction and living are quite inspiring. However, I've never sent a dime nor purchased a book to support his ministry.
I even used to watch Robert Schuller. I found him to be extremely motivational as well. Again, never did I send a dime of support.
(That was the reasoning behind my reference to those "Crystal Cathedrals).
For some reason, Joyce Meyers doesn't do much for my mental psyche or personal faith. I find her too brassy and harsh, for lack of a better explanation.
(Again, these are just my personal opinions)
I quit giving to padded pew funds a good while ago. My money goes straight into missions.
