Oh Lord, I got one of those as a gift one time. But he died.... His poor old body just wore plumb out I suppose. But boy did I have a lot laughs at that thing.
(It was from one of my sisters one year as a gag gift, hehe)
Wonder what ever happened to him, now that you mention it...
Hmmmmmmm....
Mine has two songs "Take me to the River" and the other is "Don't Worry, Be Happy" LOL It has a sensor and everytime you walk by, it starts singing and he opens his mouth and his head turns from side to side but the body does not move.

@Lala This interference with a person seeking medical services is only going to lead to those with mental issues (or a family member with mental issues) NOT seeking medical help for fear of being reported to the government then being denied II Amendment rights or being put on some watch list. Of course somebody with severe mental issues does not need a gun. But what person has not experienced some level of depression during their lifetime?
What scares me about all this stuff is that it is reminiscent of my grandmother's experiences in Russia. Although she was poor when she first arrived in this country, she was grateful for all the freedoms we had. Restricting rights and worrying what will be reported to the government is NOT something that is desirable, and we must be diligent in avoiding this, no matter what the cost. LOL My tongue stays in overdrive, and that is what gets me in trouble. I always respect others' opinions, and I try to use reason, but I should, at my age, learn to be still. It is easier that way.
LOL lala, but your brain is usually engaged to go along with the tongue. That is the BIG difference. Ahahah.

LOL Hubby bought a mystery box at an auction, and lo and behold, in it was Billy Bass and Singing Lobster. There were 2 or 3 each.

You know what? I think he DID have more than one song!! His head moved out from the backboard and he sang as his mouth moved. I had forgotten all about having one of those. Remember how they eventually came out with different fish, too? Wasn't one a catfish or something?

I had to leave him turned off most of the time. It eventually became too annoying where I had him hung on the wall.

Ted Bundy rings a bell here. Although to my knowledge, none of his crimes involved firearms, that guy had everyone fooled. H wore a suit and tie many times. He even faked a broken arm one time and saying he needed help to get a chair of some kind into his car of ban, just to lure a woman close enough to capture her?
Dangers are everywhere. And there are different types of 'crazy'..
(I never did care for that word to describe someone who was mentally ill, although I'm guilty of using it myself on occasion).
We have to learn to keep our eyes and ears open at all times. And above all else, TRUST YOUR INTUITION!! We all have that 'little voice' in our heads for a reason. Learn to listen to it.
And NEVER leave anyone alone with your child unless it's a very close family member.
(Even though sadly sometimes they themselves have proven to be a lurking and very patient danger to an innocent child)...
This is the world we live in.
Sad world, isn't it. We must always be aware of our surroundings. Many mentally ill patients were released from inpatient facilities into communities. I worked in that field for awhile, and I used to see former inpatients leering at young girls going into a restaurant when I lived up North. One particular individual was violent, and I had witnessed his behaviors, including assault on clinicians working with him. The mental health facilities closed and we all needed to set a goal of "community reintegration." In reality, it was because it cost too much money to house these patients. That's part of the problem. Inpatient mental health facilities do not hold patients for long term...usually only 2-4 weeks. That doesn't cure schizophrenia. Many of the "shooters" recently had severe mental illness, most likely schizophrenia. Adam Lanza and the Colorado shooter certainly exhibited the symptoms. Maybe we ought to rethink institutions for the severely mentally ill.

Well if you can get a "G", a "C", and a "D".. then you can do everything Hank Williams sr. ever did.

Awesome, correct. The 14th expanded on that further as the first admendment addressed only laws enacted by congress. The first ten admendments are called the Bill of Rights. You ARE smarter than a fifth grader! lol.
Thanks, but I still have trouble helping my little guy with third grade math. They use the Singapore math program. I just learned straight math, back in the day.
