Oh AB, I almost forgot. Ron Paul keeps his hairdo looking neat and slicked down. That Rand Paul is a different story. That hairdo looks like a rat orgy just took place. I think it needs some serious combing, detangling and a liberal application of Dippity-Do styling gel. My mama would have beat my butt if I had went out ungroomed like that.

I am definitely not an Obama fan and it has absolutely NOTHING to do with his race! His religion? He used his "Christianity" like membership in a country club just to help him get elected the first time. I don't think he is any religion other than maybe agnostic or atheist or worse. It is obvious that he doesn't identify with the average black American and they are foolish for thinking he does. His black father didn't even have a connection to slavery. He wasn't raised with any black people in his family life other than his sister. I imagine the only religion he was associated with up until his political career was Islam but I don't think he even privately considers himself Muslim either. I think he considers himself to be above needing God. No doubt his mission is to bring America down and make "the white man" pay for all the evils we have afflicted on the world - and he is doing a damn good job.

No, it has to do with that he will pretend to be anything to get where he wants to be.

and what makes him any different than Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon, or the Bushes, or George Romney? They all do that. I recall people that registered to vote in 1960 for the one and only time so as to vote against the Catholic and then tried to justify their vote on that JFK was smooth talking. It is the nature of all politicians to do and say what gets votes. Anyone that thinks otherwise is fairly naive.

I am not going to do a political debate with you. That is why I liked this thread for the last couple years. There are three of them along with many others if you want to debate politics and trash our President elected by a Majority of Americans whether we like it or not. I will say this though..I was brought up to respect our President whether you voted for him or not and I have and will continue to do so. I also think that if MLK Jr. were alive today he wouldn't agree with your last statement. It is AMERICA and we are all FREE to believe what we want, I just wonder sometimes how people proclaiming to be Christians could behave the way they do. What happen to the WWJD concept? Don't answer that, it was just a statement. Today has always been a tradition for Americans to put aside their political difference and celebrate our Democracy. Sorry you don't see it that way.

That's telling the dummy AB. You got it on the Rand Paul stuff. These Pauls are getting on my nerves. I tried Mrs. Pauls Fish sticks, horrid. Now Peter Paul Mounds & Almond Joy aren't to bad. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. Good Day from Teddy.
You crack me up Teddy. I love Mrs. Paul Fish sticks and always buy Mounds bars, love dark chocolate and coconut. I avoid those randpaul sites full of hate and foolishness. JMO, although it is a good sounding board I guess for those who like to debate politics.

Exactly AW. Some people ramble because they take things written in books, by others as facts and go with them. They didn't live through those times and actually know little about them. I saw several things that factored into the Civil rights movement at that time. Humpaburn mentioned agressiveness on both sides in the beginning and that is true. This was also a time of great unrest as you well know. Fidel Castro raising hell in Cuba, Russia shipping arms to Cuba, Russian Submarines 15 miles off the coast of Florida and so on. Nothing would Russia and Castro would have liked any better was to have seen a Civil war between Blacks and Whites in the United States. I didn't read any of this out of a book. As you I was here.

I have also seen the disgraceful things too. I have eaten at lunch counters that had up signs, "whites only", seen the same signs on restroom doors, ridden a Greyhound bus that the sign in front of the bus said, "coloreds to the back of the bus". I'm glad I don't have to see these signs anymore.

I am not looking for a debate of any kind but this is AMERICA and so far I do still have the right to my opinion. As far as my "Christianity"... I am a Christian, not Jesus.

Good take your opinion to someone else then and quit responding to mine. AND no where does it imply you are JESUS and the WWJD comment is obviously over your head since you were obviously insulted by it. Your comments might be better suited for the many political sites you can fit in bashing the leader of the free world. You missed the whole point. Good day!

Hehehehe. Somehow I couldn't see you feeling like a nut. Oh yes, those horrid political topics. I think they all feel like a nut. LOL. I wish whitehair would get away from those nuts. He seems like a nice sensable guy away from those silly political threaders.

Good morning. Hope you all have a nice national holiday. Frankly I recall all the anti white comments made by an uprising MLK who hated the white man. He did later change his course and spoke of a peaceful equality and the riots that often flowed from his appearances in many cities fadded away with his new peaceful approach. Another was Queen Latifa, who downed white women so bad she was embarrassed, especially her comments of white women "stealing" quality black men from the black race. Now she is everywhere and famous and is now all about "one people" and apparently now likes the white people who made her rich. Ok, so I'm old school and don't easily forget nor forgive the harsh words of the past. I have black friends, they have dined at my table and rode bikes with me and I value them as friends, so I'm not a racist, just not a "forgivest". I don't work so it's just another day to me, but I will not celebrate a man who fully intends to step on my 2nd amendment rights.

@Hempburn.. did you not just get through forgiving the Japanese? hmmmmm I heard Dr. King from his earliest days until his death, and I saw no hatred toward white people in general but only disdain toward the actions of some and the apathy of others.
Na, not the Japanese either. As I walked thru some of the small cobble streets of Japan a week ago, I was sent with escort of six elder Japanese sword masters/martial arts experts, who's job was to see me and my new katana safely to my hotel. They no doubt did not forget bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki but we did not judge the acts of countries, but the actions of the man. It would be easy to hate, say the Germans, Japanese, Russians, the English, French or anyone we've war'd against or fled from. My family fought and died in every single war since the Mayflower landed but I hate no one. But I'm a realist also, the individual is in my opinion held responsible for his own actions and words. While people may appear to change and some do,,I will still keep the old in memory and meet new with due caution.

A childish response is what most of have come to expect of you. I never said or implied I ran this thread. It was because I referred to it as "our" thread when talking about the regulars. I think you have a problem with all our animosity turning around after months of harsh comments. Sorry. YOU responded to my comment made to noone in particular. Go back and look. Maybe go take a chill pill if you need to. You are bent out over nothing. Notice the last line in my comment...JMO. You have yours, I have mine. So we may not agree on today's opinions you want to hurl insults. Go ahead. Nothing you can hurl will make me go away. I have been slammed by the best of them. Now, GOOD day!
