GOD reveals himself to people in many ways, but HE has not revealed HIMSELF for me to personally believe in the moving over and coming back to tell of near death experiences. I have to agree with "I am poster" that a person's brain waves can and does visualize things based on oxygen depletion.

I really think that also. I once had a close call with my heart, and they said oxygen was playing a big part with it. At this time , I ran my mouth for hours. I was cleaning, working for others, and talking about everybody. Must have been what was all on my mind. Thank goodness, I had nothing bad on it at the time. Would have been bad, because everyone was around me.. But as far as God revealing himself, to me , I am sure he has in many ways , knowing how my life has been spared too many times, when it should have not... But who am I too say , what others go thru, see , or do.. If he does reveal his self , then I would be honored, as long as it not one of my bad heart days.. Oh never mind , he knows all anyway...lol

I am a firm believer that God can and does still do the same things that He has always done such as appear to people and show people heaven. There is Timothy, Paul and John just to name three. I like how Paul put it that he did not know if it was just a vision or an actual trip to heaven, but it did happen.

"2 Corinthians 12: 2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a man was caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I know how such a man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows—4 was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak."

Numerous places throughout the Bible it says that young men will see visions and old men will dream dreams. I have had many dreams that upon awakening seems much like reality but is not necessarily so.

I quite often see my deceased wife of many years going on about her business just as she did in years past and I would not want to base my faith in GOD upon a dream or some paranormal experience.

Even the Apostle Paul said-- whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know. But if a near death experience causes one to repent and seek GOD, that is good for them but my faith is stronger than that.

And there is when Jesus appears to his followers after His resurrection. Thomas did not believe it because he did not see it himself.

AW, that's the key to all the nonsense, "take heed that no man deceive you". Scriptures can also be used to decieve when taken out of context. As I have previously stated, Satan quoted from the 91st Psalm in his attemp to tempt Jesus. The Scriptures plainly state that many false Christs shall arise, believe it not.

Strait(difficult)is the gate that leads to eternal life and few there be that find it. Broad is the path that leads to descruction and many be that find it.(Pharaprased)

We can also take note that Heavenly Jerusalem has specific measurements, according to the measurements of the angel.

Where as in the Old testament it is declared that Hell was created for the Devil and his Angels.(not mankind)It goes on to state, but Hell has opened up it's mouth and enlarged itself "without measure". I feel the same way. One reason I don't debate religion, just like politics. Everyone to their own.
