I meditate actually. Anyhow I am as open to you religion as any other supernatural claim. I'm willing to except imperial evidence. There just isn't any that I've seen. If you have any then get it published, peer reviewed, and collect your Nobel Prize.
Aren't you the haughty one!! I think that you mean "empirical" not "imperial" evidence. If you were as scientific as you try to purport, then at least use the semantically correct word.

No one is going to convince Alien to change his/her mind. But we have done well in witnessing for the Lord. Spent time this evening watching the video that W KY Girl suggested.
Sounds like you folks have had an interesting debate, and I missed quite a bit of it.
Hey there Oglala. That is true, salvation is strictly between a person and God. All we can do is try to explain to them how it works.
Which video you been watching?

I'm sorry to hear that. I was hoping this morning it would get better for you. Yes it will get better. Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better, but it will get better.:)

Just out of curiosity, I went to the Newtown CT town forum to see what the people there were saying about the shootings. I was surprised to find so few people commenting on it and most of the posters that were commenting were people from around the country and none from Newtown itself. Does this seem odd to anyone? I know if a nationally televised tragedy happened around my neck of the woods, the whole town would be talking about it. It may be because topix is just not that popular over there, but still it is very odd to me.

Saying your particular religion is reality doesn't make it so.
There is a difference between organized religion and Faith in Our Creator. Christians have many ways to follow the Lord. There may be Catholics, Protestants, Baptists, etc. There is a common denominator, and that is Faith. No one on this thread tries to convert anyone to their particular religion. That is why we often refer to a higher power by calling Him Our Creator.

Right, AW. Even his or her moniker refers to a being not of this world. Alien just spouts nonsense, and is trying to stir up the conversation. He/she sounds like a narcissist to me. You're up late tonight. I'm ready to turn in. Stein is waiting to go to sleep.

You remind me of Lee Strobel. He was like you. He started searching and did come to faith in God. He wrote the series of books that started with "The Case for Christ." I think he is the one who would go to church with his wife and read Sports Illustrated during the church services. lol

You are a fool if you believe only what you see with the limited vision of your eyes. If you studied quantum physics, you would know that there are laws of physics at the subatomic level. There are protons/neutrons. Hi tech atom smashers demonstrates EMPIRICALLY that there is a vastly different reality at the subatomic level. Our eyes cannot see this, yet it exists.

Where I come from the Topix site is really trashy. About all people do is talk about each other and talk dirty. Most people won't even admit going on the website because people will think they are trashy too. That might be part of the reason. That and as you said, they don't know about it.

Watched "To Hell and Back." If you want a real eye-opener, read the book that I suggested. There is also another book I've read that is interesting. Can't recall the name right now. I gave it to a friend to read. The book is written by a cardiologist, and he tries to prove that there is no afterlife, based on scientific explanation. The upshot is that he cannot do it. Each of the theories of NDE
based on anoxia, medication, hallucination, etc. does not prove our scientifically. In the end he concludes that consciousness survives the death of the physical body.

And there are published peer reviewed studies that prove those things.

New Englanders "keep to themselves" more than Southerners. They don't like to talk about negative things. In addition, I think that they are still in shock and trying to process this tragedy emotionally.

Extra Pepperoni, ham, sausage, mozzarella, onions, and black olives added to a cheap store-bought Tombstone pizza.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Taurus

Try hard not to let money or possessions come between you and a friend today, unless it's over something that has got to be sorted out before it goes any further. For instance, if someone owes you money and has consistently failed to pay it back, this is a good day for mentioning it to them and finding out what's going on. If necessary, you may have to be quite vehement.
