Hi Question. That is a good question and I have thought about that myself.(Ancient Wolf does have a good idea.) I use a locally owned pharmacy instead of a chain drug store. They are really flexible with me and my mom about when prescriptions run out and you haven't made it back to the doctor and that sort of thing. If possible go back to your doctor a couple days early and if you can fill the prescription a couple days early then be sure to put those two pills aside each month.I have a question for the preppers-- I take prescription medicine that cannot be abruptly stopped without horrible side effects. I have to get a written prescription monthly to get it filled and my doctor is 50 minutes away. What should I do so I will be prepared in case of an emergency that prevents me from getting to my doctor and pharmacy? I have asked my family doctor here in town if he will write for med in case of emergency but he is not allowed to. Thanks in advance for advice.
I had a friend that was a drug addict. I remember one time "he said" that somebody stole his medicine and I believe he got new refills because of that. Whether it was really stolen or not I don't know. I said I HAD a friend that was a drug addict...he diied. Also you would be surprised at how many prescription drugs are out there floating around - not just the bad stuff either, even blood pressure meds and that sort of thing. I'm sure you are like me and don't even like the idea of going those routes but in an emergency I guess their will be options.
I would try to save a couple every month and use a local owned, hometown pharmacy. ALSO there are lots of herbs that you can use to treat all kinds of ailments. It would be good to read up on that and keep on hand what you might need. I'm glad you brought this up, I need to get our meds in order too.
