Ya know Wolf, there have been many times in my life where I was on the verge of being all tore up about a particular situation. It was times like those when I would tell myself "settle down, I have no control of this situation, whatever happens happens". And then I just go with the flow.
That train of thought has saved me from a lot of anxiety.
Hi Blueminer, we found out Ancient Wolf was laid back and full of wisdom early on in the thread. Not many like him in the world. He is a real inspiration.

I am learning more and more how to have those talks with myself to stop the fretting about things I cannot change. It just waste time that you could be thinking good thoughts and living life. Life is good, I'm enjoying it while I have it and what will be will be. Only GOD knows what that is. FEMA camps and such aren't something I want to be a part of, so they would just have to kill me. I am like "Nope". Survive the best you can, be outdoors with loved ones, enjoying life to the very end. Until then I will wake up every morning thankful for another day and live life still making plans for tomorrow.

Have a good evening.

Christmas Sugar Cookies all made, mess cleaned up, now a break for awhile. It will take a couple hours later to make all the colored icing and decorate them. Done baking for today.
Sun gave it a good fight, but the dark clouds won over. Looks like it is going to rain again. I enjoyed seeing while it was out.
Dinner is cooking in the crockpot..boneless pork ribs/honey BBQ sauce, cheesy potatoes ready for the oven, lima beans ready for big spoonful of butter, rolls buttered to follow the potatoes. Anyone up for dinner? My son might not make it with his girlfriend, they are out closing the malls no doubt, Christmas shopping. My brother will always come and get a plate, fix one for my kid to take if he drops by late, and the rest I can take to work for lunch tomorrow.
Hope there is something good to watch on TV tonight besides football. I am staying in. If anyone drops by they watch what I watch. haha
Sounds good! Haven`t started anything yet,we usually sandwich on Sunday nights.Ever watch The Walking Dead?Mostly have to laugh at the killing rather than get upset.

I agree. The book of Revelation tells us that things are going to get horrific in the end times. Some say Christians will be taken from the earth before it will happen, some say we won't, and some say we will be taken out some time during all of the horrific events. WHATEVER HAPPENS, I fully trust my Lord and Savior to see me through it or see me out of it. Which ever is His choice and I'm fine with that. I am somewhat prepared but my faith is in my Savior, not in me or my ability to get prepared! I think something that amazes me is the fact that God told us thousands of years ago that an "end time" would come and a lot of what is going to happen yet most people still refuse to believe it. They are still searching high and low for answers while a lot of those answers are already in The Book.

Hi whitehair. It sure smells good to. We do sandwich, pizza etc on Saturdays, but carry on Mom/Grandma's Sunday meal concept. Hot cooked dinner with desert if we can, even if it is dinner out. That also always included Sunday breakfast. No fast, easy, or cold stuff. Eggs/bacon/sausage/gravy/biscu its, homemade pancakes/waffles, not frozen, bread pudding, hot oatmeal/cream of wheat, french toast...my Mom always said after a week of cold cereal, muffins, or poptarts in a rush for school or something was enough.

I have not watched the Walking Dead, what network is it on? Is it what it sounds...zombies? If so I probably wouldn't watch it. I don't care much for zombie, vampire, aliens, or gory shows/movies. I usually watch comedy, fact based movies, westerns, drama and occasional romance movie depending on what it is.

That sounds like a mighty fine meal you have cooking. Wish I could come get a plate. Ill have to just settle for spaghetti and meatballs probably lol. Nice to see a good clean thread today. You can read straight thru and pretty much make sense of whats being said with no interruptions. I guess the modes finally got fed up and now meann business.

I am doing great. You? It has been quite a productive day. My side of Kentucky dried up before noon and we even got a glimpse of the sun. It gave out to the dark clouds again, but it has not rained yet.

Yeah, it is smelling as good as it sounds. I am about to throw those rolls in the oven and have a big plate. Son and girlfriend on their way. I would give you a plate of it gladly. Plus a big piece of French Vanilla Cake. It is soooooo sweet and melts in your mouth. Spagetti and meatballs sound good too. Hope you have some garlic bread to go with it.

You are right about the thread, nice and clean, can read right through it and make sense of it. Hope it stays that way. I won't be participating in anything but that. I really thought you were the Imposter. We will see if you are still here when I hit reply.

Got to set table and do rolls. Be back later, hopefully.

Hope you and everyone else has a peaceful evening.

Yes I do and I would give you some if I could. My son and I use to take them all to the side (when he was little), they were our treats. I would icing all the cookies in their various colors, give him a few to "help" with, usually the disfigured ones, but whole cookies. When we got finished, we would go watch something on TV and take all the icing bowls and put them on TV trays, grab our cookies and just scrap and eat about all of them. Or at least until we were about in a sugar coma and he was bouncing off the walls. haha I have so many cookie cutters for every holiday on the calendar about. I baked all the time when he was growing up. Always loved the class parties at school. I still make them for family and work parties.

I would take the chicken and dumplings, I love them, but you could keep the deer and macroni. Not real fond of deer.

I am off for dinner. Have a great evening.

Hello Mr. Potato Head. I am so chipper today, this rain hasn't dappened my day one bit. I had a beautiful morning at Sunday School and church. Then it was off to a local restaurant with my Daughter and her Bf. Thank goodness I gave birth to two lovely farts this afternoon. They went floating off into space rejoycing. It was a moving experience. I will be off in a few for a lovely free supper. Praise those beautiful beans. Halleluiah!!! Thank you Jesus.

Hello Bill, Uncle Una here. Hope you are having a lovely day. Got to run, see you folks later.

Oh I was pleased to give everyone money saving tips on some good java, although I only have one medium cup of it at breakfast. I get my main caffeine lift from Diet Coke. Why do some people sniff Coke? I was drinking one once, thought I would try it. Dang, burned like hell. Whoo Wee!!!

Well hello Mr Una. It sounds like you are having a very fine day indeed! I too had a good day at sunday school and church, I just didn't get to sack up any of the leaves in front of my house that I planned. Ohh well, I guess if were lucky, we always have tomorrow. My spaghetti and meatballs turned out to be delicious! I made some garlic bread to go with. Talk about a heavenly poot brewing in my belly now.

Hello West KY Girl. That is some pretty scary stuff indeed. Even though lots of people would look at that and laugh, you still cant help but wonder just how much of it may be true. Glad I cant afford a fancy smartphone and don't use Verizon lol.

Yes, a lovely day. I am so glad you enjoyed church and Sunday School. Yes, I just finished a church fellowship supper. We don't talk fancy and still call the evening meal supper down here in the lovely Ville. After eating I stayed a while, until I felt the glory was about to roll at my table. Lol.
