Most times when I think my blood will boil, I force myself to stop and think "Will I even know about this in a 100 years or less ? Will I care then" ? It seems to help. All those times I complained about the mother-in-law or father-in-law mean nothing now that they are gone along with the wife's passing. There is just not much that I care about any more. What will be will be. Have a good day, it could be our last one.

Family can have that affect on you huh? I know some of mine does a lot of the time - and it's some I couldn't get rid of with a divorce! lol Make you want to scream loud enough to shake the moon! I have been wanting chickens for a while and I PLAN on having them come spring if not sooner!

Chickens are fun to watch and can bring much PEACE. I let mine out to free range earlier and then a short rain shower came and I stood under the eaves watching them run to get out of the rain. LOL Dog even beat me back into the house and grabbed his recliner.(He has his own)

Ya know Mr. Scruff chicken put on a good show sometimes. The hens always run from the ol' rooster. Lo and behold the rooster always catches them. I mean you can have an old rooster on crutches and he still catches that young pullet. I think that hen slows down. I guess they don't want the other hens to think she's a hoe.

Ok so the last episode of walking dead just zipped by. No more zombie action,,except for Uni,, until February. Went and seen the flick, Killing them Softly,, that's an hour and a half I'll never get back, it was truly bad.

I see Uni is stressed I had not posted him new material,, but no need in me doubling up on post, he does just fine on his own.

Great day to sleep in and I did just that. Our birds are singing and munching on the feeders for hours now. Woke up to them singing, cool air from the window, just made rolling back over and going back to sleep that much sweeter. Off work today and plan on doing some baking for an upcoming party at work. Good day to do it. I see the big cleanup after my post last night. Me and the three stooges late last night trading barbs. haha They just don't give up. What a shame that is what they lay in wait for late at night. Very amusing. I've never seen such hate from people who don't know me or anyone else they target. Their spirit of the season is no different than the other 11 months out of the year. Pure hate and foolishness. Just sad there are people like that all over the world.

Well I am off to get some things done around here. But let me offer this recipe before my baking begins one poster offered last year..might have been lala or Peace, not sure:

Recipe for Life
1c. good thoughts
1c. kind deeds
1c. consideration
2c. sacrifice for others
3c. forgiveness
2c. well-beaten faults
This is to be mixed thoroughly with tears of joy and sorrow as well as plenty of sympathy. Flavor the mixture with love and kind service. Use 4 cups of prayer and faith to lighten the other ingredients and to raise the texture to great heights in daily living. Bake well in the heat of human kindness and serve with a smile.

I have all the ingredients, do you?

There is no NUTS in that recipe. hahaha

Have a great rainy Tuesday. Will check in later to see if some of my favorites are here instead of the SOS spreading hate.

Good day!

The persistent fencers are working in the rain digging post holes. Maybe eventually they will have some posts for the birds to sit on. It might be better if they used something besdes rotten wood.

Hi everyone. Hope this day finds you all well. I'm plumb tired right out. Had a big day yesterday and little time to take a breath in between errands. This morning started out just as hectic..

Got home a little bit ago though, started a load of laundry, did a sink full of dishes left over from both yesterday and breakfast today before we had to head out, and now I'm trying to decide on what's for dinner around here.

We'll probably be heading down to Gatlinburg on Thursday morning and say for a night or maybe two for some relaxation and fun... I bet it's so pretty right now all decorated for Christmas! I need to get away for a while..

Oh well, time to dig around in the freezer for tonights dinner. Chat later!

Just thought I would put my two cents in. Here lately birds have really been migrating, huge flocks between Brandenburg and Irvington on hwy 79. Rain might break'em up though!

Soup beans cooking for dinner, will make up some mexican cornbread to go with em. The birds get the left over cornbread mexican or not, they like it. I got three crows that come through out the day and scavange the area I toss things out to the creatures,, you'd think it would be a pair or two pair but this same three show up every morning, guess I will have to name them.

I'm going to make some cracklin cornbread afterwhile. Have you ever tried that "Mel Tillis" cornbread? I don't know why it's named after him but it is the best cornbread I have ever put in my mouth! I'm not sure but I believe it is mostly Turkey Vultures and a few Hawks that cruise around here. But my dog gets the good stuff.

Hello "Nope", glad to see you post again. I did practically the same thing except I am not heading out anywhere today. It just stormed, complete with dark skies, thunder, heavy rain, the works. Just finished 7 layer bars and have the ingredients ready for a couple batches of that old fashion Cocoa Fudge people seem to love. Got dinner ready for the oven and time to sit back and take a break. Whew, work is never done.

I hope you enjoy Gatlinburg, my sister's family goes every year while there is snow. They say you can spot the bear easier. haha No really beautiful cabins and views. I would love to go again someday. It is good to get away sometimes. But like Dorothy says "there's no place like home".

Have a great rainy evening.

I seen enough birds in the Jefferson/Hardin/Meade county area yesterday to make an Alfred Hitchcock movie..haha

That was before I seen the sky change from clear blue to crisscrossing white lines and a milky film (Chemspraying) take over. It always rains after they do that too. Do you ever see any of the planes making those patterns and clouds around Radcliff?

That is my dinner for tomorrow night. Beans cooking in the crock pot with lots of hamhocks and skillet cornbread. You are right the birds love it no matter what kind it is.

I think you should name those three crows...Larry, Curly and Moe..hahahaha

haha, and they fell hard. Wish it was permanent.

Have a good night Ancient Wolf. I am off to get roast out of the oven, put the rolls in, stir the gravy and mash the potatoes, and add butter to the sweet corn from the summer family garden. Yummy. Oh yeah, cherry cheesecake for desert and coffee. Wish I could invite you and my favorite topic posters to join us.:)

Then it is UK game night. Love our Wildcats...win or lose. I bleed blue. lol
