A man who pleaded guilty to killing a Marion County Sheriff's deputy was sentenced to life behind bars, plus 10 years.

It would have cost mega dollars to go thru the many retrials if the death penalty were levied BUT here again lies the problem. On cases like this, there is NO WAY a second trial could have been necessary and IF we followed guide lines given to us by the Holy Bible and executed the perp, it would have put some doubt in the minds of the others that will commit such crimes. This Should have been capital punishment and execution and with in 6 month at most.
