A real credit to Genuine Christiains™... for is not their hallmark one of selfishness?
Indeed it is: the Republican party, the party of all Genuine Christians™ everywhere, is hell-bent on stopping welfare, eliminating social security, stopping Obamacare, cutting all funding to education (public schools, etc), and so on.
Oh, and the ReThugs want to pass laws limiting women's rights, and passing hate-laws oppressing or limiting the rights of gays, too.
But they also wish to eliminate all regulations regarding guns.
In fact?
The ReThugs want >>more<< regulations and laws governing women's v--- than there are regulations governing guns. Or most prescription drugs for that matter...
Selfish? You betcha: the hallmark of all Republicans and Genuine Christians™ everywhere.
Rethugs tell us that they opposed to government involving themselves in the lives of people, but they want to restrict the rights of gays and women, telling the former who the can marr and the latter to put scans in their bodies.

Billy Graham was a testiment to a more positive era for American families. Now America has desolved into a spiritually bankrupt collection of disconnected strangers. We accepted being "hyphenated" into mere fractions of Americans. Beliefs and traditions no longer matter to the voting majority.

Riiiight. A "more positive era"....

... an era where people of color automatically get paid 1/2 or less for the same jobs-- if they were even permitted to apply in the first place.

... an era where women were limited to a very short, fairly demeaning list of jobs, none of which paid all that well.

... an era where politicians were pretty much all corrupt, and in the pockets of various nefarious organizations.

... an era where Big Business had almost no regulations-- and they used that fact to brutalize their workers, the land, properties, their opponents, in order to artificially push their prices to huge profit-making levels. It was an era of Corporate Trusts.

... an era where unless you were connected or rich or both? The best you could hope for was a tedious job for the remainder of your life, without hope of anything better until you died early of undiagnosed heart disease or other ailments.

... an era where women died quite often, in childbirth--as nobody had given much thought to the problem--did not the bible say women were SUPPOSED to suffer in childbirth? Indeed, it did...

... an era where hospital care was hit-or-miss, and people died of causes that today, doctors would be appalled to see were fatal-- causes that, with today's medical >>science<< are easily treatable and routine even.

.... yeah... that was quite an era to be alive in.

IF.

IF you were a rich white ... MAN.

If not?

Then, it wasn't all that nice-- you were luck if you survived.

To add to your point, women were arrested for the crime of having a contraceptives.
Gays were arrested for having sex.
Minorities were given restrictions on how to vote.
Jews were treated badly
Even Catholics were not seen in a positive light.
Italians and other Southern Europeans aced racial discrimination as well.
In other words, only rich Anglo Saxon wealthy Wm enjoyed the Good Ole Days.

The god you worship? That one-- the one who uses torture?

That god is nothing short of a monster.

NO person--no matter how bad--deserves INFINITE TORTURE.

That's just evil.

Especially when you consider the fact that most of these people are going to hell simply for not cowing down before the tyrant.
According to the accepted versions of Christianity, I can be a mass murderer and still be saved so long as I accept Jesus as my savior and confess my sins.
But if you are a good man and never harmed a soul, you can still be sent to the eternal inferno for simply not worshiping him.
Me and twin once asked our pastor what would happen to all those misfortunate people who never got to hear the gospels, like the Native Americans who had no ability to hear the "holy message."
My pastor could barely answer the question, only saying that he is sure God would have provided some way for them to hear even if there was no proof of any significant contact with the Natives and the other peoples before the Vikings and before Columbus.
I am reminded of of a line from a mafia, which I believed was the Godfather. In the line, the man says that he liked the Catholic religion because he could commit his crimes and still be forgiven just by doing a hail Mary.

He was a horrid person, and about as selfish as it is possible to be, and still breathe.
Example after example where he was uncaring about the fate of people who came to worship him at his public viewings, while he drove in stretch limos and lived in mansions like the god he pretended to be.
THAT is his legacy: one of selfish power and greed.
As are most of the leaders of all True Believers™
you might want to get your facts straight [no pun intended] before you just run at the mouth and spew your hate for a man who has lived honestly all his life.
even his detractors know that he has never "lived in mansions".

"Graham’s home is relatively modest."

he lives in a 10 room log cabin designed by his wife Ruth and built from salvaged wood and logs from other abandoned cabins and materials gathered from the local forests of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

nor does he draw an exuberant salary.
http://hwarmstrong.com/god-is-good.htm
Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Billy Graham, Chief Executive Officer $135,000*.147% 95,376,136

the same article will claim that his real salary is perhaps 2-400,000 but offers no proof of the claim.

still a mere pittance for the ceo of a corporation handling $95 million per year.

If he REALLY believed in the bible's Jewsus?

HE WOULD NOT OWN A SINGLE THING.

I will bet you a brand-new $100, that Graham skims off the top as much as anyone else who is filthy rich.

But since he is all "non-profit" and sh7t, he doesn't pay TAXES, does he?

Nope-- so he quietly skims the money TAX-FREE, and only REPORTS a "modest" sum to the IRS.

... sickening, really.

He's a liar AND a cheat.

He's a liar AND a cheat.
so a man who might make $200,000/yr is filthy rich?
and therefore he must be dishonest because he is rich.

now if you really checked the facts you would see that the association pays well over 2.6 million a year in payroll taxes alone.
bg as well as all other employees of the association pay personal income taxes on their personal earnings. so, so much for "he doesn't pay TAXES, does he?".

and considering how many times they/he have been audited and the #of employees that have passed through the organization there should be some dirt to turn up or some smoke to sniff out but you can't find any. while i personally am not a fan of bg, he is at least an honest man.
so you can take your hate and sit on it until you can come up with something more than you think that he must be a "liar AND a cheat"

and i guess that you would be the authority on Christ's life here on this earth.
like that phantom command from Jesus to not own a single thing.

i copied this from someone else but it says what i want to say;

"If you look at the Bible pattern, you'll find the people who served God faithfully were rewarded generously. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Job and David are notable in the Old Testament. Jesus's ministry had a treasurer who regularly stole money from their treasury and they still had so much that nobody noticed. Paul had wealthy people in his entourage who met ministry needs. Churches that are generous with their ministers always seem to have enough money for other needs. I always wonder about churches that try to keep their pastors "humble" by underpaying them. They dry-up before long. I'm also wonder about Christians who can't even give 10% of their income to further the greatest thing going - the Kingdom of God. They never seem to have enough money. "There is one who scatters, yet increses more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty"-Prov 11:24"
