What people think is besides the point. All the proof shows the bible is a work a fiction and nothing more. It has been rewritten so many times and you see Jesus himself himself contradictions in the Torah when you read the myth and I find that funny.:))

<quoted text>For those who don't believe it's a work of fiction and obviously Billy Graham and his followers believe it's the literal word of God, he and his son sinned and sinned greatly. I am not on this thread to argue with you about whether the bible is a work of fiction or the words of God. The fact is that Grahams organization believes it is and they went against not only what the bible states but their very own dogma. Mind telling me how you're going to make this right??? Whether it's fiction or not, they certainly believe it is or pretend too. I am inclined to believe in their case, since they obviously have no fear of playing around with God's word or the bible, that they don't honestly believe and it's a scam and manipulation tool. However, that's just me.

What people think is besides the point? Are you serious? It is exactly the POINT. People follow the Grahams and what the Grahams thinks has influence on them wheter what they say or believe is true or not. I think you're suffering from ADD or some kind of defecit. Perhaps you should reread the subject of the thread and stop trying to color outside of the lines. Deflection tactics only work on the stupid, ok?

Cult leaders often have that kind of influence. That does not mean it should be encouraged among the cult followers.

You'd think even a christhole would be ashamed to use such a website! Start with prayer? Oy vey!

Follow the money. Always--follow the money to see where it goes.

In the case of the lying sacks of sh7te that the Graham's empire represents, the money ends up in their pockets, either directly, or as the bulk of it, indirectly--- since they are tax exempt, they can purchase huge piles of riches but claim this stuff is "for the church" but only the Graham's get to USE it, you see. But they pay no taxes on any of it....

... that how the scam works.

And since morons, the brain-dead and other sheep are the only fools who DO follow these lying sacks of shyte?

The real cure, is (as always) quality education.

For a quality education will fix all sorts of stupid.

And, if a person lives long enough? And continues to receive quality learning?

They will, sooner or later, become an atheist.

That is where All Knowledge leads: to atheism.

In regards to what is true it's beside the point of what people think. What's true is true. You can have your own opinions but not your own facts. Billy made a fortune of people's delusion.

I said he was born there? Stop humiliating yourself. Biblical Hebrew? Oh stop seriously just stop it's painful to watch. Like you trying to say Joppa and Nazareth were the same city! Lol! That was dumb really dumb.
Josephus who was tasked with mapping out the entire region and who documented small tent towns somehow misses Nazareth a city so big it had it's own synagogue? Oh and was walking distance from his home town? Whoops! Lmfao! Well every other historian and map maker at the time somehow missed Nazareth not documenting it until the second century when shock shock artifacts from Nazareth start showing up! Neat how that worked out eh?
The Jesus line is a Christian forgery that never appears in his earlier works.
<quoted text>
two things. a synagogue was not necassarily a building. it was made up of at least 10 male jews. it could have met in a house or under a tree.
second if japhia [pagan name] and nazareth [jewish name] were the same place back then that would explain why josephus a roman historian trying to prove his loyalty to ceasar would have used the name japhia and the jewish writers of the new testament would have avoided mentioning the name japhia.
see how that works?

<quoted text>Sorry Barry, but you need to pay closer attention. I never said Graham lied about his wealth. I said he earned the luxury to do so.
I'm not interested in, nor do I know much about, Graham's bank accounts. I'm interested in his exploitation of people, and his bigoted statements. For example, he has labelled people from all religions that differ from his own as heretics, headed for the fires of hell. Or telling Richard Nixon about "satanic Jews". There's more, but I think you get the idea.
you never said that he lied about it but only that he has earned the right to do so. i get it.

and you might want to get a better accuracy about accusing bg of talking to nixon about "satanic jews" he never used that phrase and was quoting a verse in the book of revelation that says that there are those who claim to be Jews who are liars, and that they belong to a "synagogue of Satan."
written of course by the apostle john who like Christ was a jew.

he was also honored by the American Jewish Committee in 1977 for promoting Protestant-Jewish relations over the past quarter century.

hardly fits your subtle accusation of him being anti-semetic.

They are not the same city with different names, they are a little over a mile apart. His job was to document and map all Jewish settlements which he did, and he couldn't document a city that didn't exist at the time which ALL secular historical records and artifacts show. Stop humiliating yourself.

Exactly the opposite your Jesus commanded of his followers.
Or don't you actually >>read<< your own bible?

Graham is just another hypocrite-- along with all the rest.

no, the current city of nazareth is a mile away. cities move. either nazareth was a small insignificant location or it shared the same location with japhia. josephus had every reason in the world to call it japhia instead of nazareth. he was a captured by surrender jewish leader of the rebellion against rome who over time was able to convince the romans of his loyalty to their supremacy.
