Not really-- you posted a busted link that my anti-virus program suggested I avoid, due to it being an attack page.
Since then? You've posted not one single link of worth.
And I know exactly how (and explained it--which you conveniently ignored) how your evil church only exists because of tax exempt status-- in that people get paid BACK when they "give" money to your evil religion.
Without that PAY BACK? Your religion would have ceased to exist long, long ago.
funny my "busted link didn't show any anti virus problems on my computer and i then copied to you the pertinent info which happens to come from a legal document filed and accepted by the irs. you then just brushed it off.
btw where are your links? the one you posted didn't agree with you on when the nt was written and it didn't appear to agree with you as to your claim that the Bible didn't even come into existence until the fourth century.

You admitted to believing in god.
That right there? Is an admission you are a lie.
For there is NO sane reason to believe in gods-- it requires ... faith.
And faith in things that do not exist? Is a lie.
Duuuuh.
so we just have your interpretation of what i said as being a code or something that i admitted to lying?

let me ask you do you have a soul? or do you have a spirit?

I would have to look this up but I think the KJV has been altered around 400 times since the first written version in 1600 hundreds.
The book is not pure.
The bible is a metaphoric allegory of words and phrases. Over twenty centuries of being interpreted, translated, transformed, decoded, and twisted to conform mans words and thoughts. Hundreds of years of the “word” being used to control people to do the will of others.
look it up and then let's see just what those 400 alterations might be.
also the grand parents of my grandparents did not speak english so your assumption while on the right track is a little off.

... meh.

think again, really? these people believe that the earth is millions of years old. they believe that God did not create the world in six days.

and it is not plagiarism when it is acknowledged that it is copied.

so once again ole bob missed it. the nail he hit was his thumb.

Billy Graham began his career as an evangelist nutcase, respected only by those who foamed at the mouth. That he was able to insinuate himself into the mainstream and meetings with presidents also makes him one of America's most gifted con artists.

No you are wrong because second century maps show both Joppa his home and Nazareth. Care to humiliate yourself worse?
barry wrote:
<quoted text>so what other cities does josephus not mention? are we to assume that they did not exist either.
now he does mention japhia which is about 1 mile away from the present nazareth and it fits Biblical description of nazareth. japhia is a pagan name and possibly was named after king japhia who allied against israel when israel went up against jeruselem in their conquest of the land. so would the israelites call the town japhia [which btw is not mentioned in the new testament] or might they have given it their own name? which name would josephus a jew who had allied himself to rome have used for the city especially after he fought with the jews against rome and was forced to surrender and capitulate?
so much for blathering. consider the evidence. why would the writers of the Bible invent a town that everyone could have seen was an invention? the answer is that they didn't.nazareth at the time was very insignificant.

My guess is these jackholes like Bob and the others got mad in church because somebody didn`t shake their hand one day or they didn`t like the color of the new carpet that was just installed.
really it could be that their parents were very hypocritical in their "Christianity" or perhaps their parents got caught up in some genuine charlatan radio or tv preacher or faith healer that bled them dry in soliciting donations/offerings.
if they were picking a fight over say joyce meyers i would just sit back and observe. bg has done Christianity a disservice in his ecumenical practices but he is an honest man who has openly managed the finances of his organization above board for all to see. it's those who don't want to honestly look at them that just lump him in with all the rest.
so yes, you could be right maybe some "Christian" snubbed them in church.
we actually did have a guy get mad and leave the church over the color of the new carpet. sad.

that could be a valid opinion from your perspective. however people shouldn't try to parlay that into "he must be lying about his finances and taking advantage of tax dollars to get rich".

What legacy? Being a talking snake-oil salesman who lined his pockets off the evangullibles? The answer is NO! Stop worshipping the messenger and heed the message. You'd have to restore alot that's been taken out of the manmade bible. No one needs religion.

please explain how a map has something to do with whether or not josephus never mentioned nazareth.

are you sure he was born in joppa?
Titus Flavius Josephus (37 – c. 100),[1] also called Joseph ben Matityahu (Biblical Hebrew: יו&#15 05;ף בן מת&#15 14;יה& #1493;, Yosef ben Matityahu),[2] was a 1st-century Romano-Jewish historian and hagiographer who was born in Jerusalem - then part of Roman Judea - to a father of priestly descent and a mother who claimed royal ancestry.

Notice he carefully omitted where he plagiarized his shyt. Likely some Creotardism site that claims the earth is 6000 years old.

my sited site was;
http://www.theistic-evolution.com/josephus.ht...

that would hardly be "some Creotardism site that claims the earth is 6000 years old".
they deny the creation account of genesis and believe that creation was controlled by God using evolution over millions or more years.

so again the only nail that he hit was his thumb nail.

Since Graham is already rich, he has earned the luxury of lying about it. I doubt that his lemmings care one way or the other.

And of course Obama, who knows better, had to keep up the tradition of meeting with this phony, for political reasons. Oh well, the next president may not have that opportunity.

<quoted text>if you would check his association tax records you would find a different story.
in 2011 they paid in 2.7 million for payroll taxes.
they paid 53 million in employee compensation. everyone of those employees pays property taxes, income taxes and sales taxes including bg himself. he pays all those taxes. they contributed over 600 thousand to 3 colleges. they support a separate world wide emergency response team which of course participated in the recover efforts of all of our major storms.
when they decide to hold a campaign in a city, they move in a year ahead of time, rent buildings [property taxes] employ local people to staff the offices and make all arrangements[income taxes]
sounds to me like they are very good for the economy and generate a fair share of tax revenue.
sounds to me like they are really good for the economy.
btw bg personally went and bailed mlk out of a birmingham jail in 1963.
you are right however that there are "bible charlatans" bg is not one of them.
Of course he is, they all are, and they all know they are, he just covers his ass better than most of them do.

I said he was born there? Stop humiliating yourself. Biblical Hebrew? Oh stop seriously just stop it's painful to watch. Like you trying to say Joppa and Nazareth were the same city! Lol! That was dumb really dumb.

Josephus who was tasked with mapping out the entire region and who documented small tent towns somehow misses Nazareth a city so big it had it's own synagogue? Oh and was walking distance from his home town? Whoops! Lmfao! Well every other historian and map maker at the time somehow missed Nazareth not documenting it until the second century when shock shock artifacts from Nazareth start showing up! Neat how that worked out eh?

The Jesus line is a Christian forgery that never appears in his earlier works.

Sorry Barry, but you need to pay closer attention. I never said Graham lied about his wealth. I said he earned the luxury to do so.

I'm not interested in, nor do I know much about, Graham's bank accounts. I'm interested in his exploitation of people, and his bigoted statements. For example, he has labelled people from all religions that differ from his own as heretics, headed for the fires of hell. Or telling Richard Nixon about "satanic Jews". There's more, but I think you get the idea.
