She is a sell out. She does not represent the GLBT community.

As mayor, wouldn't she be supposed to represent all New Yorkers, not just the gay ones?

Do you think she can beat Michelle Obama in a quest for the Presidency in 2016?

She could provide a part-time straightie liason officer to express official sensitivity where appropriate

All the straighties ascended to the heavens at 11:11pm on December 11, 2012; so all thats left is gay people and homophobes
.
So its up to us to run the world

Doesn't that fly in the face of the notion/fantasy of equal treatment, and feeds the complaints of those who claim that gays want special treatment.

Do you suggest a special liaison for blacks? A special liaison for latinos? Asians? Or those who don't see the need (or expense) for a special liaison to express "official sensitivity?"

Why doesn't the council publicly mention the growing gang problem in NYC? Young ppl continue to die yet no political outcry

Because the only politically important thing nowadays is pandering to homosexuals and making them happy. Everything and everyone else has to wait. You got a problem with that?

Yup, judging by the picture in the article, she is gay by desperation.

Since a homosexual views the world through rainbow colored glasses, their decisions made while in a position of authority could not be guaranteed to always be unbiased.

Don't condemn her beliefs and sexuality because that's inhumane. Simply don't vote for her. Consider Bill Thompson

Now; thanks to you and your big mouth; we'll be needing a part-time liason for the slenderly challenged

Talk about petty!

That is like saying a black mayor would not represent white citizens, or a Latino mayor would only represent his or her own race citizens, or a Jewish mayor would ignore Chritians.

The mayor of very large Houston is a lesbian and I have not read any complains about her administration.
