Oh, thank you, thank you! I have been really tickled with myself getting those Christians to chat with me - it took some work.

I have found 1000 ways to say: your views are cruel and discriminatory. Still, they will not believe it. Its a work in progress..

Thanks so much for your input - I feel sort of bad talking about "the gays" and there aren't any gays around to back me up..

BTW - gay is just shorter to write than gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trans-gender. Does it bother you to be called gay?

ASM, you are right about the Wheel. Am I enabling the Rat??
He could be using you, Steph. I think he is toying with your emotions.

You can't just go around smoking cigarettes and breaking your wheel and expect good ol' Steph to make it all better. I think you need to sit Ricky down and give him a talking-to. Maybe a time out as well.

Possibly a spanking - but only as a last resort.

I've had the same problem over here. Well, up until now, it's been getting ANYONE to chat with me. I've been mindlessly babbling, pretty much non-stop, and pretty much by myself, for like five years now. And when I've been telling the Christians here that their religion is bogus, and that the only TRUE religion is my religion, the Church of Rodentology, I'm getting nothing but little red and blue thingamajigs at the "Now viewing" section silently staring back at me...

Because rodents have such short lifespans (especially smoking ones), a main tenet of our religious belief is that...

I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to chat with you, RR - you are so "chatty".

I originated a new religion: I call it Awesomism and I make it up as I go along. I have to ask you a serious question: Have you ever read The Book of Awesomism?

Could you elaborate on the little red and blue thingamajigs? I'm not sure I know what you are referring to. If you look very closely at a dollar bill - any denomination - you will see red and blue thingamajigs - they are actually threads because money is not made of paper, it is made of fabric. If you do not see these red and blue thingamajigs, your bill is counterfeit. In this case, your conscience should prompt you to take that bill and turn it over to a bank who will turn it over to the Federal Reserve to be destroyed or saved to later be used as evidence of bill counterfeiting. If you do this, you will "loose" your money - the bank will not give you a real bill to replace it - apparently, it is your problem that you ended up with a counterfeit bill. Usually, people carefully pass the bill on to some other unsuspecting person so that they don't "loose" any money.

What would you do?

I'd start by spelling "lose" correctly. Why everyone on the internet wants to spell "lose" "loose" is beyond me.

On the main "Novato Forum" whatever, in the little box in upper right hand corner, where it'll say how many are "Now viewing", there are red and blue thingamacallems...

Oh My ASM! I have stared at this web page for 10 minutes - I cannot find a "now viewing" number or any red and blue thingamacallems - I just keep looking and looking - nowhere and especially not in the right top corner, I looked there 100 times now.

Why does your Topix have this feature and mine does not? I may go mad if I don't get to see them soon.

That is an example of my poetic license - I can put a word in quotations and then "mispell" that word so that whoever reads it will be forced to wonder why I did it. It worked, didn't it? You are under my spell.

Alright. It's on the thread page. The "Novato Forum" page. Upper right hand corner. When less than five are "Now viewing", it's not there.

Huh. Well, everyone else on the internet, it seems, spells it like you do. And they don't use quotation marks.

Hurrah! I am proud of you too.

I make a point to keep telling people that I am heterosexual because many people think that only gay people support gay rights. I have even been accused of just pretending to be heterosexual because heterosexual people accepting homosexuality as normal is completely beyond their realm.

I also post on the Oceana & Pineville, WV forums - that is the area where I live. In those forums, I have never admitted to being female - my avatar and name leads them to assume I am male. It is sort of a gender experiment I like to play - I like to imagine that my gender is no one's business - but I also feel sort of guilty about not "coming out" to them. I told the M'ville forum fairly quickly about my gender since they don't like to play games and are passionate about discussing what is TRUE and what is not. I keep expecting someone in the WV forums to question my gender, but the only one who came close was our very own Steph - I "came out" to her and she completely accepted me for who I really am. I'm prepared to come clean if it ever becomes and issue - but I am finding it completely humorous to continue my facade.

Since no one has argued the point in my threads M'ville threads, the general consensus is that gay people are Atheists. I know that is not true - I know as many Christian or at least God-fearing gay people as I do Atheist gay people. I am confused as to WHY any gay person would be Christian, but then, many people are appalled at the idea that there is NO God - they know they have a proper place in the big scheme of things, so regardless of the Bible's teachings against homosexuality, they can rationalize a true relationship with God that is accepting of homosexuality. Is this how you feel about Christianity? I was raised as a Christian and later embraced Atheism - do not fear me - Atheists aren't as bad as the media makes us out to be. I'm the nicest Atheist you'll ever know.

Or maybe you know that because you are an Atheist.

Steph, aren't you an Atheist? Are we the only Atheists in the room?

Everyone, put your religious beliefs on the table so I can assess you. JK - I DO find it to be an interesting topic.

Most think that everyone who posts is obviously a Gay man....but I'm not a man and don't care if folks believe that or not.

By the way, I'm not an Atheist.......people do think that about me as well because I'm not an Evangelistic Fundamentalist and I believe that they have a right to believe as they do, but their beliefs end where mine begin......they take that as I am forcing my beliefs on them or I'm twisting the scriptures because I don't believe the one's they use to bash Gay and Lesbian folks are what those folks claim they say......but that being said, I am a spiritual person who believes in God and knows that God watches over me and has shown me the path that He alone has set for me. I also believe that the bible is full of stories and also believe other Gospels could be more valuable than what was canonized!!!

I also have served my Country and believe in this great Country:-)

I'm loving this conversation - there are so many things I want to ask you. I hope you don't mind that I'm going to start a discussion just for this topic and we can talk about it some more and perhaps attract interested posters.

Even though I am glad to have met you in this thread, I am also enjoying the babble and nonsensical atmosphere. I'd hate to muck it up with all this grown-up talk.

No worries.......frankly, I don't mind honest questions.......because how else will folks learn......there are some questions that I won't discuss however......intimate issues regarding my marriage are off-limits. Sorry, but those are just not something I'm going to discuss, nor intimate issues about other Gay or Lesbian couples.....nor will I discuss the intimate issues regarding those issues with opposite-sex couples.......just not relevant regarding this topic.
