You fail to understand the concept of 'free speech', friend.I have seen this push for marriage is not the end of the gay community trying to force and acceptance in today`s society. Free speech is in jeopardy even with a Constitutional right to speak freely. Hate speech is the next step. Even now if people speak out against the gay agenda, they back peddle in fear of losing their popularity. People in public office finding they can not openly speak against the gay agenda without putting their job in jeopardy. The law makers may be trying to to do the right thing to be PC but not looking at inconsequential results in their decision.
Free speech is not speech free from economic consequences. You are perfectly free from being arrested for speaking out against the gay community, in whatever capacity you choose - however, if you are boycotted, ejected from a chat-room, or lose your job because of your choice to speak out against the gay community, welcome to America - you blowhards have been boycotting, firing, and persecuting the gay community, for at least a couple of centuries. Sucks when the shoe's on the other foot, what?
You're not in jail - your free speech is fully protected.
Get over yourself.
