Jan 10, 2013 Full story: The Tennessean 137

Americans who believe being gay is a sin are no longer the majority -- not even half -- a shift a Southern Baptist-affiliated research group pins on President Barack Obama's changed opinion of gay marriage.

It's flattering you consider me your God. I am not amused by your behavior. I would be amused and proud if you put an end to your miserable life!

There is no secret rapture or 7 yr tribulation period. Not one verse in the Bible to denote that doctrine from the Jesuits.
Dan 9:24 70 weeks are determined and sealed to anoint the most Holy.
They created a 7 yr trib about Lucifer as the false messiah -- from the False Prophet teachings by removing the prophecy about Jesus and making it about Satan or the devil.
Not the Jesuits, dear. The RCC doesn't give that apocalypse that much weight.

The RCC is the false prophet; that is a false prophecy.

Riber's 500 page book and Bellarmine's 900 page book began the teaching near the end of the 16th century. JN Darby brought it to USA ~1830.

Ireneaus mentioned such a future event such as that but was quickly rejected by all; even the Gnostics.

The increased acceptance of homosexuality coincides with the decrease of religion. Coincidence, or cause and effect?

I read that the whole "secret rapture" / "left behind" scenario is a much more modern invention, not much more than maybe 100 years old. The invention of desperate revivalists hoping to wake a sleepy church out of her doldrums by creating a sense of urgency, imminent doomsday, antichrist, all that stuff. It was certainly unheard of before the Reformation, and before the American colonies were founded and before the "second great awakening." No one in Christendom taught any such thing.

I'm just a new college student, but I remember this history lesson vividly from last semester because of the fuss it stirred up among the fundamentalist Christians in the class.

But um, weren't we talking about homosexuality in this thread? And how views of it are changing even among those fundamentalists? I must admit it surprises me.

No views have changed amongst Christiains.

Ireneaus ~140 AD mentioned a futuristic revelation in that possible the 70th week of Daniel was speaking on this wise; but, it was rejected by all.

Loyola (1540) created the Jesuits to counter the Reformation (Reformation Day Oct 31). One must remember the Catholics fall under the Star of Lucifer (Acts 7:43). What I mentioned above was the two primary Jesuits that created the Futurism doctrine to combat the Reformation: erog, if the antichrist can be taught as one man and he isn't on the scene until after the rapture - then, it can't be the Pope. But, the whole thing is a lie.

It is based on removing Daniel's 70th week; but, it can't be done per Dan 9:24. There is no 7 yr tribulation.

Hal Lindsay and Jack Van Impe are Catholics disguised as Baptist - not Baptist at all. Same with Billy Graham - Catholic. JN Darby brought the doctrine into USA and tied with Scofield and got it into seminaries.

40+ yrs for me as a Christian. Started studying manuscript evidence in 1978 and still at it.

Hey there you, have you enjoyed your gerbil today?
Actually not since Sunday, thanks for asking. I went to church for the first time since I was 9 years old, and caught a glimpse of where all my self-indulgence could take me. Since then I've been trying to learn how to change some things to avoid that possible future.

And how about you, you closeted creep? The same, I hope. Your own future looks rather bleak from where I sit, unless you also change a few things.

That would be very sad if true. But fortunately, most Christians have the ability to learn, and do learn, so your statement is false.

Why do you knuckleheads care what other people do with their owns lives & relationships? Why do you insist on trying to hurt other people? Jesus would be sad about your cruelty.

The Bible says a whole lot of other things that you ignore. Why latch on to this one thing in the Bible? Why do you spend your valuable time attacking other human beings? The Bible says you shouldn't cut your hair or eat pork. You guys might be in trouble there!

Use English. God is the same. Learn scriptures. Follow Jesus and the Apostles teachings.

The modernist have their own bible and follow tradition of men and invent their own doctrine.

God's children have learned - to trust and follow Jesus.
