Last chance predictions?

DOMA will be tossed.

Marriage will remain the province of the State and the Lower court rulings on prop 8 will be upheld due to lack of standing. California Attorney General along with the Governor will be chastised in the brief.

It will be interesting to see how both sides spin this regardless of the rulings.

I missed this.

"WASHINGTON—The Supreme Court on Wednesday struck down the 1996 federal Defense of Marriage Act, which denied federal benefits to lawfully married same-sex couples."

Got my first prediction right.

The court hates any challenge to legal authority.

"And the justices weren't certain that either the House or the Proposition 8 backers possessed the legal standing to appear. The court specifically asked the parties to address that question in the briefs and oral argument."

I predict California will me the 13th state soon.

Marriage equality will be in most states very shortly. It's inevitable, with a majority of people agreeing and a whopping 76% of those under 30 agreeing with marriage equality.

California will be the 13th state. SCOTUS hates challenges to legal authority. The Prop 8 proponents had no legal standing. The lower court ruling will stand.(My eleventh hour prediction)

It's will be slow but inevitable, my guess, most states will pass laws allowing same sex marriage in the next 10 - 20 years and Texas will pass similar legislation in late May, 3027.

This is the only time I love Fox news, off to read comments about how heterosexual life is shattered because now things will be going on in the bedroom next door ...... that have been going on for 50 years.

Off to the redneck pitty party.

GOod decisions by the Court (though on the usual VERY narrow margins) which make up a little for the horrible decisions announced the last couple of days.

Congratulations to gay Americans!
