I like the way you lying Queers twist and manipulate the truth. There's exemptions to every rule under certain circumstances but we're talking about any normal 14 yr old or younger, cannot with their own consent marry or have legal sex with a legal adult. You're embarrassing yourself Queer. Get the facts before opening your d!cklicker.
You're merely repeating your original babbling response dear. It didn't alter reality the first time and is going to have even less success now. The TRUTH remains that there are state laws under which it is legally permissible to marry someone under the age of legal consent and then consensually have sex with them. There are even state laws that legally permit you to marry someone under the age of legal consent that you have definitely already had sex with and some that get you out of needing that child's parent's approval.

You are of course free to try and prove me wrong, but I'll give you a clue, we both KNOW I'm not and you're just wound up too freaking tight to be man enough to admit when you're wrong.

Queer, we're not in court. If you've been following the threads, you know what I've said is true. You Queers lie so much, you deny anything you get caught up in. I don't even have to name names. You know who they are.
You're not very good at this sort of thing, are you? You stated, and I quote, "MOST gays defended and condoned what she was doing." I am simply asking that you back up your allegations with facts. If you can't do that, then you are simply making assumptions, which is not very persuasive in and of itself. You need facts to sway people to your side.

Agreed, but that stupid law doesn't cover an 18 yr old with a 14 yr old

Ok, I'll say this. There are gays, like you, that has stayed away from that sort of conversation in order to keep from showing your beliefs on the subject. There are others that has defended underage sex with adults while on other threads that I can't remember what threads they are. Then there's the ones on the threads about Kaitlyn Hunt that no one can dispute, because it's there for you to read. Those are the ones I'm listing here.

Rick in Kansas admitted that she broke the law, whether gay or straight and will suffer whatever fate bestows her, but keeps hinting that it's legal in certain circumstances in certain states. Can't get a handle on whether he thinks it's alright or just wants to argue.
Tell me, did you recognize any of your buddies?

O.K., so you were wrong to say "MOST". I gotcha.

I see a lot of names on that list of people with whom I have conversed. Some of their statements I agree with, and some I don't. You would have to be more specific when asking me what I agree with and what I don't. We are all individuals who agree on some things and not others. That's why we are here, to discuss ideas and offer facts to back up those beliefs. So far, you have failed to do that in an orderly fashion.

SIMPLE - Do you think it's OK for a legal adult, 18 yrs old or older, to have sex with underage kids, especially 14 yrs and younger. No matter what, they are still kids, not physically or mentally mature enough to make decisions that could possibly affect the rest of their life.

Right except for the hinting part sweetie, I actually PROVED that the legality/illegality of this story is dependent on where it took place. She fingered her way to a felony in Florida, she wouldn't even have committed a crime at all in a number of other states under the exact same equation. I agree that most parents would not want their 14 year-old to be with an 18 year-old and if you're the parent of an 18 year-old, their interest in a 14 year-old, regardless of what the law allows, ought to concern you. One sized all laws with ill-fitting exceptions are not the best way to address the issue, unless there is some sort of force or coercion going on. Why should the rest of us pay to do the parents job? As long as your kids are under your roof, you rein in their hormones. If you imagine what they are up to is not just the side effects of puberty talking, then you consult the law, not just because your kids get horny.

Firstly, let me note that I think your question is flawed. I believe the question should be, "What should be the age of consent"? See, your question leaves open the 15,16, and 17 year old people. You imply by this question that it is o.k for an 18 yo to have sex with a 15, 16, or 17 yo.

I do believe there should be a specific age of consent, but I am deeply disconcerted as to the age it should be. I was having sex when I was 14 and 15 with boys in their late teens and up to (if I remember correctly) 22. And they did not coerce me, it was my choice. I sought them out.

I do believe that some kids of 14 have the ability to handle these things, and others do not. I'm not sure how it should be mandated in law. So I suppose my answer to you would be "maybe, maybe not, depending on the individual".

NorCal Native.
You added me to this list without actually reading what I wrote.....but then that doesn't really surprise me......you don't care about facts or the truth, just that I disagree with your position.

I basically said that there was some discrepancies regarding the AGES of the two girls at the beginning of their relationship, when the parents of the younger girl actually filed a complaint and Kaitlyn was charged and that the law needed to be applied evenly and in my opinion it wasn't.....BUT I also stated that if Kaitlyn was in fact over the age of 18 years old and the other party was 14 or younger when they first had a sexual encounter, then Kaitlyn should face the consequences of her actions......you weren't interested in my opinion, just wanted to call me a liar.....so stuff it troll!!!

You can say whatever you want but I went around and around with you in particular one night about this subject. You finally caved a little after several hours of back and forth. I proved with the arrest affidavit as to what their ages were and that Kaitlyn was 18 before the school yr started and before they met. I'm sure if you want to check, you can go back and find your statements but not most of mine, since they were deleted.

The law can't depend on the individual or there would be different ages for everyone doing everything. The average 14 yr old is not mature enough mentally or physically to make those kind of decisions. You'll find people in all areas of life doing things before they're ready or old enough. Some mature faster than others. Some are forced to grow up faster than others due to their misfortunes or environment. You have kids as young as 9-10 yrs old in gangs shooting people, growing up without knowing anything but what they learn as gang members. Drugs, sex, rape, murder, you name it, some do it. You have to have set standards to meet and laws to abide by, as a norm, or there won't be a norm for anything. Couldn't you see 13 or 14 yr olds applying for a gun permits because they think they're old and mature enough to carry a firearm? Even yet, getting approved to carry them??

Sorry, I didn't cave, I know how I feel about certain issues and this was a case that had more discrepancies in the articles that it caused certain responses.....and all you cared about was calling others liars and derogatory names!!!

As I stated, the truth will come out in trial and if Kaitlyn is guilty, she will have to deal with it!!!

It's already come out. She's guilty. It's just a matter of what she gets for her trouble. You did defend her. Anyone who cares to, can look up the thread a see for themselves.

Again, different people mature at different ages. I do not claim to have all the answers. In fact I have more questions than answers. I'll leave it to those who are elected to make these decisions. And unless you have not told me, you aren't one of them.

Really? When was her trial? What did the jury say? When is her sentencing hearing? See, what you claim is the truth is nothing more than an affidavit that was done on her arrest.......I'm discussing the trial and that evidence.....everything else is nothing more than allegations!!!

Damn girl, what do you think a confession is?? She's already admitted it. Yeah they'll have a trial, but the outcome is inevitable.

The purported "adulthood" of 18yo's is a legal fiction, not a developmental fact.

Regardless, 14-15yo's are barely mature enough to be allowed out alone. lol
