Boehner unswayed by Portman's switch on gay marriage

House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner said on Sunday he cannot imagine ever supporting gay marriage even though Senator Rob Portman, his friend and fellow Ohio Republican, very publicly reversed his opposition last week.

It's very bad cyber-bullying hate speech. We want better from and for our friends.
Does the following qualify as "better from and for our friends?

Neglected to mention, that was a very reasoned response.

Not the same.
Some things are both the same and different. Consider two couples, a man and a woman and a man and a man. The first has two people, the second has two people. Therefore they are the same. The first has two genders the second has one gender, therefore, they are different.
You are both correct and incorrect.
How Zen is that?
Why even answer him. He doesn't know the difference between the words "same" and "equal". He's just looking to justify discrimination, hatred, and bigotry.

With a name like Boner.........

Imagine how his kids feel hearing their father say on national tv he wouldn't support them having equal rights if they were gay; that he would deny them equality because of his religion.

Gee thanks dad......

Thank you. That's what we've been saying all along. They aren't the same, they could never be the same, they are not equal, and are seeking SPECIAL RIGHTS.
Gotcha!
LOL!

ROTFLMAO!
Those are called fundamental rights which all citizens enjoy equally according to your Constitution. Your lack of education and ignorance is showing.

<quoted text> Not really. When or if SCOTUS (not you) declares it Constitutional, then Speaker Boehner will have to support it in a legal context.
From a realistic observation, if Pres. Obama gets to pack the court (and he very well might), you'll more likely get your ruling. If that happens, it will then be the law of the land, and I agree that it may likely happen in our lifetime. I will, of course, disagree with it (as I have done with other non gay oriented SCOTUS rulings), but only THEN would it be considered Constitutional.
Until that time, you're just blowing smoke.
it will be. it has been ruled so in several states and it will be in the US shortly.

Immorality is now the rule in the US.Don't fight it.The only way back from the reeking grave we who have morals occupy is to let those who do not finish off what once was the "home of the free and the brave".When people are once again familiar with the age old rule necessitating working as a requirement of eating, things will come to order economically and morally.

Only someone with a shame-based mentality would say that. Sorry. I don't do shame, so go dump yours somewhere else.
