I see all the homophobes have left since the Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage. Thank you to the members who have actually read and understand our Constitution.

Studies show that homophobic men are most aroused when shown gay porn.

It's important to understand that many research studies, especially in the social pseudo-science arena (e.g. psychology), are far from objective or scientific in nature because their major sources of funding come from partisan foundations, governments, wealthy donors etc. with a political agenda. Moreover, researchers and scientists may have their own ideological reasons for manipulating the methodology of their studies to produce a desired result. There are many historical examples to support this claim.

For instance, Dr. Simon LeVay hypothalamus study, which catapulted the idea that some men are born “gay”, was later discredited because scientists who replicated his research could not achieve similar results or arrive at similar conclusions. It's important to note that Dr. Simon LeVay was a homosexual, and this probably explains his motivation to fabricate the research results with sparse and dubious data.

The study that WasteWater referred to doesn't deserve any credence because no one knows if the subjects being examined were actually heterosexual men who opposed homosexuality. Just because a person claims to be someone or something doesn't make it true. It’s likely this study was conducted to attract additional grants from pro-gay institutional or individual donors to further research in other more substantive areas.

<quoted text>You did pretty well up until the above point. Then you had to add a religious taboo in place of scientific observances.
Fully 1/4 of all species on earth are homosexual or bi-sexual. It's a proven point. It's a natural thing, not something forced on them by opinion.
How do you explain the number of closet homosexuals in the pulpit if it is not natural and they believe it's a sin? They didn't 'choose' to be homosexual. But they did choose to be indoctrinated and ignore all scientific data in lieu of a 2000 year old book.
If sexual preference in inborn, and if "natural" sexual orientation deserves legal recognition and protection, then shouldn't pedophiles deserve equal recognition and protection under the law? If they’re biologically oriented to feel attraction toward children, by no fault of their own, then doesn't it stand to reason that the natural basis for their tendency warrants the same rights as other sexual minorities? Does that argument make sense? I don’t think so.

Furthermore, so what if 1/4 of all species on earth are homosexual or bi-sexual. If 1/8 of all species on earth copulate with their offspring, does that make it right for humans to do the same? Should humans regress to an animalistic state?

Nonsense. Using funding sources as a means to contradict study results is simply a straw man argument.

Better luck next time. Straw men don't fly.

Actually, there is no onus whatsoever, it's irrelevant to the topic, and to the constitutional guarantee of equal protection of the law.

You haven't refuted even a single item in the study. Go back to your sandbox child. The study is irrefutable. Homophobic men in a random sample, were all stimulated by images of gay men having sex at a significant higher rate than all others. FACT

you're the one stating basically those studies are invalid. you prove your accusations with whatever "evidence" you think you've found, something to substantiate your stance. you're the one making the statements about the studies. you prove you're right by whatever countering studies or scientific publications you can.
