Let's wade through this since you brought it up.<quoted text>
I was only replying to Gabriela's statement about race having a role in the bible. She stated that race isn't mentioned in the bible and this is clearly incorrect. Not sure why the others hadn't picked up on that already, but the half dozen verses I quoted show that race/ethnicity is highlighted prominently in the old testament.
I have zero interest in wading into the complex issues that others have with people's ethnicity. Being christian or not, we are all the same. Beliefs/philosophies make us no different in biological or evolutionary terms than being of one ethnicity or another. So, I agree with you, but would take it one step further to include all members of the human species.
N.T.-There is only ONE marriage relationship in which is forbidden by God-God's people are forbidden to marry those who do not believe. 2 Corn.6 1 Corn.7;39.They can't find true happiness with a unbeliever-their spiritual growth will be hampered.
Cornith was a very cosmopolitan city. The church there was made up of Jews gentiles and many races. So it's very significant, that it was to the church at Corinth that was the instruction.Race was NOT mentioned.
Old testament-God forbid it because of religion reason not race.If they intermarried it may have caused them to go after falsehoods.
BTW that's pretty crappy you mistreated and harassed her before like that! What's your problem?
