the republicans are making sure this ISN'T an issue in 2014 or 2016...just like obama is going to try to make sure immigration reform is, by making sure he demands way more than anyone will agree to.

they have to demonize the republicans with something, they sure as hell can't win on performance!

The GOP will demonize itself on this issue quite handily. No "true" conservative/republican can back gay marriage w/o completely compromising their religious voter base. Its in the bible, people. Only RINO's can, and you see how well they did in 2012. That's what happens when your political party becomes the roosting shed for intolerant nut-jobs.

The Republican establishment doesn't get it. They would suit themselves better by presenting a viable alternative to liberalism instead of being "white Obamas". Romney lost because 6 million less white conservatives voted in 2012 than 2008. Furthermore, 2008 wasn't a banner year for conservatives as McCain went with liberal RINOs like Steve Schmidt to run a campaign that saw Sarah Palin (an insult to conservatives) named VP nominee. I (and many other real conservatives, I'm sure) know many other real conservatives who abstained from voting in both elections. Furthermore, the minorities who would vote for Republicans based on values were turned towards Obama by a GOP hell bent on losing every single election. It's time the GOP rid itself of the Mitt Romneys, Dick Cheneys, Sarah Palins, Ron Pauls, Grover Norquists, Fox Newsers, and Bush family types and get behind a Mike Huckabee or another actual conservative instead of a Mitt Romney/"Obama in a Brooks Bros suit" type like they seem to be doing. Real conservatives have values. We're not conspiracy nuts. We're not potheads. We're not hedonists. We're not white trash. We're not Ayn Rand aficionados. We're not former Trotskyists. We're not corporatists. We're not post-modern-secular-humanist-a bsurdist-anarcho-primitivist-e xistentialists. We believe in America and that which she truly stands for.

Homosexual activists (males and females) are lobbying to have the age for consensual sex lowered to thirteen (13).
The parents are completely out of the loops,
they will have no recourse.

The same activists are also rushing to leagalize bestiality.

The democRATS justify it by claiming, "love knows no boundaries".

Republicans sold their soul to religious extremism to elect GBJ the first time and still BARELY pulled it off. Now it's time for the payback, a painful transition out of crazy land.

It will definitely cost them 2016 no matter what they do. Maybe more if they don't make a decisive and quick break from the voices of theocracy.

With over 75% of those under age 40 supporting marriage for same-sex couples, the GOPasaurs have no choice if they want to be a viable national party going forward.

That said, I'm sure the religious conservatives who cotrol the primary process will continue to destroy the party for the next decade.

Eventually the rich republicans will give them the boot, but not until they get spanked in a few more election cycles.
