Just imagine, if Philippine's politicians had the balls to pass a law, requiring deadbeat father's financially responsible for their unwanted offspring?

i think he will also push this divorce law.

the battle of birth control and divorce is a battle of men vs women here in this male dominated society and the men are scared to death that the women will become independent.

neither the church nor the gov has any business in peoples bedrooms and divorced catholics will still attend church, so the church needs to back out of these wars. they wont lose one single peso from this evolution.

i guess the next thing flip men will copy is honor killing?

I just read the entire article and it sounds like if you think the no divorce law is stupid guess what their about to make more stupid.

Only country left in the entire world with no divorce. They need to pass this or dare I say the Philippines will maintain it's total disregard for women's rights.

The Phillipines government rising out of the dark ages on divorce? Its about time they gave the woman a break that married the wrong guy and now feels trapped. They hid behind the Catholic Church long enough. Can't believe the do nothing for its people and beg other countries to support would finally find the nerve to help themselves once. The government officials have always been crooked, powerless and weak. Maybe they found one politician not stuffing his pockets and starving his people. Maybe food banks will rise in the Phillipines soon.WILL MIRACLES EVER CEASE!
The land that time forgot or at least the male dominated land. Maybe now the woman will not be so quick to try to leave the country for a better life in another!

Get it over already. Implement divorce. For the husband and wife to stay married although living with someone else is way hypocrite for a Christian country.

(Mark 10:8) 1 Corinthians 7:39 says that a 'wife is bound to her husband during all the time her husband is alive.'

Genesis 2:24 says: "...a man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh."
