I don't think claiming "religious reasons" is going to hold up. If you are engaging in a retail business, you must serve ALL the public. Not just the parts of teh public you "like".

Since they will probably claim that LGBT people "are violating the bible's commands and that offends my religious sensibilities", then could they not also use teh same reason for not serving Buudhist people or Hindu people ? After all, by definition they are NOT following the bible. Right ?

She'll lose in the end and the funny thing is that the couple she refused to provide the flowers for their wedding....she has sold them flowers for other events and stuff!!!

Businesses are not private organizations, nor are they NON-PROFIT organizations and their religious beliefs have NOTHING to do with running a PUBLIC business!!!

Frankly, I'd have gone elsewhere......but the problem is this, IF ONE DOES NOT HOLD THESE BUSINESSES ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS.....who will be the next person to be discriminated against because of their religious beliefs.....The Jews? Muslims? Who?

Sorry dipshiet, but a public business is NOT a private organization.......if it was, the AG wouldn't be suing it for violating the state's anti-discrimination laws!!!

Whenever you have doubts; apply the lunch counter test to any licensed business establishment that attempts to pick and choose its customers for reason of irrational discrimination

The right to refuse service is nowhere near as absolute as this self=proclaimed good Christian business owner wants to believe it to be, it hasn't been for decades now. The restrictions on it began because self-proclaimed good Christian business owners and others with some pretty darn deeply held beliefs, thought the right to refuse service allowed a business owner to be a right bastard to potential customers on any basis their little heart's desired.

What gets me about all these self-proclaimed good Christian business owners who find themselves in hot water after pulling stupid stunts in the name of God, is that Jesus himself taught them what to do unto others when they find themselves in such awkward situations and once they've done the exact opposite, they pin the blame on him.

Did not Jesus speak to the Samaritan woman ? And offer to go to the home of a Roman centurion ?

BOTH of these things were FORBIDDEN by the Jewish law at the time.

To good Christians such as these, they aren't special rights, but God given and not even the Constitution trumps God. They say so. Any questions we might have in regards to the legitimacy of these God given rights are to be taken up with Him, they are merely doing what they say He tells them to do. To good Christians such as these, their beliefs are not their freewill choice but God's Word. It isn't their fault that they do unto others crap that would piss the high holy hell out of them if done unto them, it is God's. Our problem isn't with their seriously sh*tty acts, it is with God, get used to it. God tells them to throw rocks at us until we die, the Bible clearly says to. Jesus, to their serious muttering and whining, does take the literal rocks out of their hands (well more or less), but that doesn't take away their God given right to keep hurling the figurative if they want to.
