Hall's legacy of shame. The greater shame is that he is clueless that it is a legacy of shame. In fact, he thinks it is right.
When was this description of false teaching wrote?
First it is arguing that it was only meant for biblical times, not our modern times.
Second, it is saying that the words of the Bible do not mean what they otherwise mean.
Third, it is assertion that one's new view of the scriptures is right and must be enforced on God's people.
If you guessed Martin Luther in the 1500s, you are right.(From Bondage of the Will).
Solomon is right. "Is there anything of which one can say,'Look! This is new?' It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time."
TEC is following the ill-fated humanistic Desiderius Erasmus route down to its last detail.
What fools these mortals be!
