I would suggest they focus on the real issue at hand, getting their flock to vote and holding their local and state politician accountable to their needs. Now if these church leaders are so opposed to same sex marriage then they should start speaking out against gays; watch how fast their churches empty out.

Blacks will vote for obama again because they like being twice as unemployed as the rest of the country. None of the "cracker-assed" presidents ever did that for them.....

Political speech is a no-no for tax-exempt institutions like churches. And yeah, I'd encourage all negro churches to start proselytizing for Obama, and the next (non-negro) administration can swoop in and revoke their tax-exempt status, tax the piss out of them, and all the sudden their preachers won't be able to afford extravagant pimp-suits and ridiculous hats on the backs of ignorant parishioners willing to be raped for the aggrandization of fools like Rev. Wright.

The world is laughing at these fools, and they have no clue.

All fundamentalist church members and their clergy, including the white ones, would react the same way to any prominent politician's attempt at promoting homosexual marriage. Weird that he should vociferate that kind of thing at this stage of the game.

Especially with all the advisers he has.Maybe he was advised to make that dubious move by someone who wants him out of the whitehuose and wohm he trusts. Whatever the inspiration was for that decision it doesn'y look like a politically good one.

There have been other issues over which African Americans have not been 100% in agreement with him. In fact, about a year ago I had a conversation with one African American and all he did was criticize Obama. I suggest that you Google the subject to find out if your ideas are in line with reality before offering them up as indisputable fact.

As Bubba Clinton said, he's an amateur. He's a dope and just said what he said to get millions from homofascist haters.

Of course he's a fool. He'll loose more votes than their money can buy.

Why don't these religious leaders become as outraged at the crime in certain areas of their communities?
