Yes, we would like enough food & water & land to support the population of the world.

If you meet someone with more than a handful of siblings or children, odds are they are religious. The left is intent on destroying population growth; fewer numbers make it easier to control. Plus, they want government to replace the role of families.

Same sex marriage is supported by anti-humanists so power hungry they want to limit the number of children you may have. That's another good reason to keep marriage man and wife.

Yeah, irresponsible rabbits who drop a litter every 9 months who have NO compunctions on killing the ecology with more and more people.

I love it that a family with loads of kids cannot give each kid what he or she needs, nor can afford to give them good educations or a good quality of life.

I know of a woman who is HIGHLY religious, loves children, and has loads of them. Perhaps you've heard of her, the Octomom, Nadia Sulleman. she is on WELFARE now with her 12 or 13 brats, and the state is paying for HER crazy nuts behavior and complete lack of regard for the future of those kids,or the untold thousands she is costing poor taxpayers.

At 12 kids she can spend like 5 minutes a day with any one of them, unless she doesn't want to sleep or something. Those kids will grow up as needy and whack as she is.

Nice role models you got there, Cletus.

<quoted text>With the earth literally on the verge of over population bomb, I don't think that at most 10% of the population's behavior is going to make much of a dent. There are PLENTY of kids being born, too many. I used to work almost across the street from the LA Dept. Of Health. I would see young women on their way to the pre-natal clinics in that building. They would be preggers out to there, a baby in arms, and two or three hanging on to her skirt. Don't worry about not enough children.
I've read that in 3rd world countries where birth control is illegal, the young women stand by the churches to beg, but are not allowed to use birth control, thus being doomed to a lifetime of misery and poverty and more and more children. You have no worry about there not being enough kids, but one day they will NOT be your lily white color.
You should thank those who aren't clogging the planet up.

You have just described Miami if Marco Rubio had his way.

The #1 sign you are dealing with Hispanic, Black and white trash, however if they can afford to take care of the kids it is none of my business but the one's I have met who pump out kids like they are gumball machines, can not .

Population control is just an excuse to control people and reduce immigration.

There's plenty of land, food and water for everyone. I oppose population control policies.

Curteese has evidence for my claim, religious people have large families more often than more secular people. Thanks for the help, I can do without the usual anti-religious screed, but at least you see the truth.

If they can afford to properly care for them than it is their business but the last thing we want are those who can not being forced to have kids.

From a financial perspective I think free abortion clinics in many areas would be a wise decision.

They are starving because of government mismanagement and corruption, not overpopulation. Next time you fly coast to coast, look out your window down at the ground and see how empty most of America really is.

It's only appears "empty" from 30,000 feet. Most of that open space is dedicated to farming so we can feed the 300+ million people packed in the cities and along the coasts; not to mention helping to feed to 6+ billion elsewhere in the world. The rest of that empty land is empty for a reason- moutains & deserts which are inhospitable for large human settlements.

Sure, we could pack a billion people in America, but do you really want our country to be like India or China or Mexico?
