and so this shows how polygamy and gay marriage are the same fight...we either can set preferences or we cant...
And we are continuing the conversation. And we're winning. You wish to shut down the conversation while you're ahead.

Same as the anti-Semites and the slave owners.

The best argument for polygamy is reading your Bible. So let the Christians carry the water on that fight.

Really? Give one example.
Everytime you rag on o/s marriage and on responsible procreation...
Seriously? You want to legislate premarital counseling? I suppose that's fine since the same leftist ideologues that you hate will be making up the curricula.
No, silly! I want the government to pay for it...not run it...you know....like a 'voucher' system....
Again, how are we supposed to do that? With guns?
No, silly! I've already explained what we need to do..we need to educate our young people on relationship/conflich resolution, then offer them pre-marital counseling BEFORE they marry and make children...that helps the ENTIRE COUNTRY!!!
There are many children who haven't been placed in qualified homes. But the question isn't that NOBODY wants them. The question is whether the best placement is being determined using objective criteria.
You are the ones who said they should go to gay people cause nobody else wants them...not me...
Okay. You just keep up that "anti-het" stuff. Could you show me the anti-het agenda? Do we get to put you all in concentration camps?[/QUOTES]

It's happened....

[QUOTE] Keep you all away from your families?
I can honestly say, No...just as no one is keeping any of you from 'your' families....
Fire you from your jobs?
Hets get fired 'every day' in this nation....
Make you eat in separate restaurants?
Last I checked....no... Who makes gays eat in separate restaurants??
Keep you from voting?
Ummmm...what does this have to do with your bigotry against hets???
I can't WAIT to get my copy of the anti-het agenda. It's sure to be wayyyyyyyy more fun than the gay agenda.
Oh, just go to the GLADD website...they have the handbook...

No, you did. You said that gays getting married would discourage heterosexual marriage. How's that going to happen? Instead of answering the question, you lie and pretend you never said it.
no your phrasing was different..

marriage ceases to be the thing you do before you marry....
your insisting procreation is not relevant is DANGEROUS...

you conflate the individuals with the club...
sure if you want the football club to be about jazz, it doesn't stop anyone from playing football...but it kills the club...

first love...
then MARRIAGE,
then the baby...

not according to you, RIGHT?

Okay, you're wording wasn't that clear. Do you think government really has the money to spend on that? Do other organizations make marital counseling available at little or no cost to either the participants or the taxpayer? Do you want the government deciding what marriage counselors promote?
No, silly! I've already explained what we need to do..we need to educate our young people on relationship/conflich resolution, then offer them pre-marital counseling BEFORE they marry and make children...that helps the ENTIRE COUNTRY!!!
So this is going to make them adopt hard-to-place children?
You are the ones who said they should go to gay people cause nobody else wants them...not me...
I don't think I said that. In fact, I'm quite sure I said that the gay home is sometimes the best placement available. The fact remains, though, that some people have taken on many children who have no other options. And some of those angels happen to be gay.
I can honestly say, No...just as no one is keeping any of you from 'your' families....
<quoted text>
Hets get fired 'every day' in this nation....
For being heterosexual?
Last I checked....no... Who makes gays eat in separate restaurants??
I never said gays were forced to eat in separate residents. I just wondered how we anti-hets are going to discriminate against you all. I just gave some examples of things anti-hets might want to do based on past examples of discrimination. Do you have different preferences?
Ummmm...what does this have to do with your bigotry against hets???
I am not bigoted against hets. So nothing.
Oh, just go to the GLADD website...they have the handbook...
I couldn't find any conspiracies they were planning against you heterosexuals. Why don't you post some of the choice punishments we have in store for you hets. Otherwise, I'll assume they're as non-existent as my supposed bigotry.

By the way, you probably want to check GLAAD, not GLADD.

Don't count on it. You bigots always assume everyone thinks like you. All evidence points to the contrary.

The more people know about gay and lesbian friends, relatives, and co-workers, the more they support us.

You still have to explain how this is going to happen. What percent of the married population have never had children together? Will this increase significantly due to gays joining the club?

The fact is, marriage confers many desirable benefits on the couple and on society. And the reasons society supports marriage apply equally to gay and lesbian couples.

I'm not saying who will vote where.....but I do know that the more Liberal Justices aren't going to uphold Prop 8.......and the 3 most Conservative Justices will want to uphold Prop 8......but what will be interesting to see is how Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Kennedy opt to vote......and I don't believe they will side with the more conservative Justices.....but that's just my take on what I've read, heard and believe!!!

Interesting that you would make a comment about a source I never mentioned.....but since you think it was liberal......you more than likely are wrong.....I read several articles here:
http://www.scotusblog.com/category/special-fe...

The articles are presented from both sides of this issue.......but they have learned that it is unwise to make predictions based on what questions and comments are made during oral arguments.....so, I will continue to stand by comments on how I believe SCOTUS will rule.......then we will see what happens next!!!

As this thread states, no matter how the Justices rule.....this fight is far from over!!!
