"During that speech, Obama will unveil the "Power Africa" initiative, which includes an initial $7 billion investment from the United States over the next five years. Private companies, including General Electric and Symbion Power, are making an additional $9 billion in commitments with the goal of providing power to millions of Africans crippled by a lack of electricity".

Meanwhile, back in America.

A $ 1.2 Billion a year, could go a long in getting OUR electrical grid improved.

Some goat herder in Ethiopia isn't able to afford what GE/Symbion is going to charge for electricity.

Yet another road trip. For the Obama Family. He's really racking up the miles on Air Force One.

I guess when he does his yearly August disappearing act for Ramadan that will be the next trip......oh wait he still has the entire month of July also.

I assume General Electric will use the power generation made in their Chinese factory.

I should say:
I assume General Electric will use the power generation equipment made in their Chinese factory, financed by the American taxpayer.
.
I'd like to see the details of this deal.

Obama sounds like he is running for election IN AFRICA:

"Ultimately I believe Africans should make up their own minds about what serves African interests," he said. "We trust your judgment, the judgment of ordinary people. We believe that when you control your destiny, if you got a handle on your governments, then governments will promote freedom and opportunity, because that will serve you."

Why doesn't Obama say these things TO AMERICANS?

.... control your destiny

.... get a handle on your government

.... promote freedom and opportunity

But that is.

Reagan also gave millions to Iran, Afghanistan, Libya, Angola.

Reagan = Good

Obama = Bad

Who is president now? Correct me if I am wrong, but I think Reagan left office in 1988.
.
Actually, I blame Primordial soup. If it weren't for the soup, this wouldn't all be happening now.
