There's nothing sexual about two people getting married. If there were, then I would guess you wouldn't go to a straight wedding, too.

Maybe the "Messiah Phil" from Duck Dynasty can lead the parade riding on a donkey and his followers throw out waffle fries? Blessed be.

Wouldn't have been best if it had been three couples getting married: a gay couple, a lesbian couple and a hetero couple?

If the theme of the Parade was about Diversity then absolutely to have many different types of couples get married would be wonderful, but the Theme for this years Parade is all about Dreams coming true.....and being able to get married on a float for a Gay or Lesbian couple certainly fits the theme<3

There will ALWAYS be someone who will make a stink about ANYTHING that involves something they don't like whether it be Blacks or African-American issues, Religious issues, GLBTQI issues or some other minority group........let them spout off and show others just how ridiculous they sound........the rest of us will go on with our daily living and enjoy the hard work and dedication to those who make the Parade happen.

I suspect this will be another "successful" boycott in the mold of the Baptist boycott of Disney. Lots of people will say they boycotted the parade, but will still watch it with their kids, to whom they can't say no about such a special event.(When the Southern Baptists announced the Disney boycott so many years ago, the park attendance in Orlando actually INCREASED by 5%. As a holder of a large block of Disney stock, I sent the Southern Baptist headquarters a thank you note and a flower arrangement, along with the request that they call a boycott every year.) If anyone is truly bothered by the wedding, which I DO think we will see a big part of on TV (sorry, NorCal), they can simply turn their heads, go take a pee, fix a snack, and on and on.
Karen is still, I see, living in her own special world where she has the power to change things to the way she--and only she--wants them. Her belief that the parade will cease to exist after her boycott is so outlandish that I find myself feeling sorry for her. Someday I'd like to ask her what color the sky is in her special world.
Other than all of that, Happy New Year, everyone. Or, as we say it here in Paradise: Hau'oli Makahikihou.
Oh I have to agree with you completely.

This will be spun as a milestone victory nearly as great as the one they got with Duck Dynasty (They still can't seem to understand the concept of a suspension vs. being fired)
