The gay community will certainly use gay marriage as a way to harass any religious denominations that refuse to support them. It is religious persecution, sanctioned by the secular left in 2009.

These people in existing denominations that want to redefine Christianity to suit their worldy wants should start their own new-age denominations and quit dividing the churches.

Then I take it you're opposed to al the different denominations in Christendom ?

I was born & raised a Lutheran for more than 40 years. Does that offend God, because I wasn't born and raised a Roman Catholic or a Baptist or Methodist ?

Yeah, you let those evil gays come in and the next thing you know, they'll be loving the Lord, caring for their fellow man, and worshipping in YOUR church, and there won't be a darn thing you can do to stop them!

We need to stop the gays from praising Jesus in our churches! Our very lives may be at stake!

Imagine a world where all folks, black and white, Tall and short, Asian and Mexican, gay and straight, pray together!

Oh, the horror!

LOL. Chrisianity is about loving one's neighbor as yourself, and accepting Jesus as your Savior.

It isn't defined by separation or bigotry.

So, it would seem that gay Cristians aren't redefining anything, as much as recapturing the original spirit. You might want to follow along.

As I understand the article, the church leaders mentioned fear that if "the church" actually changes their views, and accept gay people, then they lose their ability to preach hate and bigotry. Why, they may even have to begin to teach love and acceptance. How awful.

I suppose without the ability to preach hate, they have nothing left that they believe in. If that is the case, they deserve to battle amongst themselves, and eventually go by the wayside. I, for one, will miss them not.

We've been headed down this road for some time now. The country is splitting across the board, churches included. You have the rational freedom-loving people on the progressive side, and the repressed fear-mongering conservatives on the other side, seeking to create a neo-christian taliban.

When the conservative right wingnuts took it uopn themselves to create a law that favored their church doctrine over everyone else, they fired the first shot - they drew first blood. And they cannot seem to comprehend why people are p*ssed off about what they did. Mainly because they don't know the history of their own GD country, which was founded by people trying to escape an official state religion. They don't get it, and won't get it, because they don't want to get it.

So we are forced to make them get it, under penalty of law through the courts. No accounting for their sanity, since they keep doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. What part of inalienable do you whack jobs not understand?
