almost one million people represented by each member of Congress and we're sending a 91 year old assisted living escapee be our guy? I would laugh if I wasn't about to cry.

On Friday I received a call from a Hall poll.
First question: Which of the (called names) candidates I would vote for. Answer: Ratcliffe
Q: If the race was between Ratcliffe and Hall, who would you vote for.
A: Ratcliffe.
"Thank you."

Ratcliffe has clearly been identified as the threat. Are they preparing for a runoff?

How the hell did he keep getting voted in after he turned 80? Now he's 91 and might get elected AGAIN? What does he plan to do, call the shots from a wheelchair while he sips Ensure in a nursing home with a border collie in his lap?

Hall's strong suit has been service to his constituents and the power of the incumbency. Also, there have been no serious opponents. A few years ago there was an attorney from Tyler who did fairly well in the primaries, but he didn't win and has pretty much disappeared from the radar - at least to my knowledge.

IMHO Ratcliffe is the first candidate with substance who is better than "what we have" and has really run a good campaign all over the district. The key will be if the people who have been coerced into signing endorsements will actually vote for him.

Has lived in Rockwall County for 90 years and barely beat Ratcliffe here--45-38. Hall had chance to go out gracefully and blew it.

Such a shame that so many wasted their vote on a man who clearly can not understand much of anything to represent this district. There is a time for loyalty and there is a time to use common sense. People seem to think Hall has protected Rockwall county and therefore they owe him a vote. There are many other men that will do the same for this county and are still coherent. Hall has done no more than any other man would do. One big difference is that Hall chose politics for the money, and over his entire family. Start thinking about the future people. When Hall dies in office the governor can appoint anyone he wants to that office. Remember that.

I have nothing bad to say about Ralph Hall, but it is time for him to retire. If he cared about Rockwall so much, he would have retired. This is more about him. I, too, am shocked so many did vote for him. I hope people will be smarter in the run-off. You can still be loyal to him as a friend, but be smart as a voter. This isn't about Ralph Hall. This is about our District and what is best for us.

Congressional District 4 is a disgrace: only 3 representatives in 100 years: Rayburn, Ray Roberts, Hall.

Hall is going to die in office if he wins in November, he should just quit and go fishing for the few months he's got left on Earth.
