Creating 27 new medical facilites just for a limited number of veterans is absolutely stupid. Why not for for ALL veterans? Besides, the VA cannot properly manage what it has not. Personnally the better solution would be to close most of the VA Healthcare System and give each Veteran a health care card that they could use to seek treatment at a location of their own choice. In the long run it would also be cheaper. We continue to see horror stories of the VA's mismanagement that has cost many veterans their lives simply because the VA is their only choice for healthcare. Our veterans deserve the ability to make a choice. If the VA can keep up with the needs of our veterans, great, but when they can't there must be an another option.

Obama's act to down size the military is bringing him even closer to his Now second worst President title Carter. He did the same and then Reagan had to spend billions to get us back to a safe military. When Obama does this, where are the military going to find jobs after risking their lives. Obama needs to start farming peanuts also, he has most people working for them.

Now, if boner's teahadist house would send over a clean jobs bill, they would have work, too.

Democrats know how to get rid of the backlog on request for care by our hurt and sick veterans.

They have destroyed those requests for care records for anything over 6 months old.
YEP, had it happen to a friend of mine. He recieved a letter that he was scheduled to see a specialist, when he showed up 4 months later, he was not on the schedule any more. Even with the letter in hand, the only thing they did was reschedule him for another four month wait. He finally went to a private specialist and it was a good thing he did.

Gee a 5.9% cut in on duty soldiers. Wow that's a pretty deep cut.
A republican would never cut the military that much.
Unless that republican was Dick Cheney. He cut the military 25%.
Just another non- issue trying to be turned into a scandal.
boring.
