I am so elated to see that my brother-in-law was honored for his service after almost 70 years later. I live in Killeen, TX (Ft Hood) where my husband retired from the army and I've worked for the government for over 30 years. When we come home to visit, we often sit and listen to his war stories. It's a real blessing for him to be alive and still have such a great memory at the age of 99. Not only is he a great man, but also he continues to get people registered to vote.
Thank you Redstone and everyone on the committee who put this special program together.
SO GLAD THAT HE IS MY BROTHER-IN-LAW!! He's the best.

I knew the old coot too! I just thought he was crazy. I had no idea he was shell shocked from serving in the military.
