Catching up on testimony from yesterday and today...all I can say is that I couldn't get enough of them panning the camera back and forth across the front row showing Jodi's whole family who apparently has now come out to support her! What a full cast circus freak show!!
Looks like a bunch of fat dykes.

Ok, this stupid ridiculous girl the defense has called, who keeps talking about this "shocking, over the top" comment Travis made to Jodi yet she can't quite remember just what that comment was......Oh, but it was shocking!!!
What. A. Moron.
It is not that she didn't remember, even though she testified for the defense, and was being truthful, she still wanted to protect Travis by not repeating what he said to Jodi.

BDSM Phone Sex?

Nancy Grace reporting that Jody's defense team has tapes of Travis wherein he wants to tie her to a tree , something about dressing up like a school girl and the Kink continues. The Judge has supposedly reviewed these tapes and they could come into evidence.

Hey, I hate to brag, I called this way back when, the BDSM Dom/Sub relationship. It a dangerous mix in a relatiinship. The girl's head gets so scrambled, even when the guy calls her a hoe and slut, tells her to get the fk out, then brings her back in for more sex and degredation.

This defense team better get an expert who will not dance around it and call it for what it is. Both the defense and prosecution is not up to par.
Where is Shapiro or Gerragos, or even Gloria Allred when you need them, LOL

This is a Manslaughter case, still a very serious charge with some serious prison time. A ten year sentence would be appropiate, with four years off for time served.

BTW, Elise, as you probably are aware, greater PS has a large Kinky underground, and I'm not including the Gay crowd.
Well, some of it is on the surface, like those Swinger/Orgy resort Hotels. Would not be surprised if that surpressed and depressed pre paid legal zomby crowd are doing some weird stuff, like cross dressing or dudes on dog leashes...more than likely the pre paid legal services will not pay for an attorney on a lewd conduct charge..LOL

I could have handled Jody and nothing bad would have happen. Life would have even improved.

Completely Disagree. She didn't sound like she was trying to protect him at all when she was saying how horrible and out of line the comment was. If she wanted to protect him she would not have only said negative things about him and then "forget" every time context was brought up. She painted Jodi as a victim of emotional abuse. She also conveniently didn't mention the context of the incident when Travis moved the car forward as though he were taking off and leaving Jodi behind. The prosecutor had to try to get that out of her which she also conveniently forgot. I got the feeling the comment would not have seemed so bad to anyone other than a virginal devout mormon which she obviously was. It may have been "shocking" to her, but doubt it would have been to anyone else.
She seemed to me to be very hostile about anything that had to do with the sin of sexual relationships, including Travis and Jodi's and she talked about Travis in a manner that implied everything he was doing was wrong!

How is it obvious? She was not living of off him. They had a stable relationship until Jodi got involved with Pre-Paid Legal Services (now Legal Shield), and met Travis. Jodi was working while her and Daryl Brewer were living together, she was paying half the mortgage and other bills, after she got involved with Travis, and the PPL crowd, everything went downhill.
BTW, Martinez made a good point for the defense during his cross examination of Gus Searcy, he wanted to destroy Searcy's credibility by making him look like "a snake oil salesman", by attacking Legal Shield, by calling it a pyramid scam, by implying that he was making money from everyone, including the people at the bottom of the pyramid. It didn't reflect well on Travis, he worked for the same company and did exactly what Searcy does, he was also a top executive.
The reason I'm so intrigued with this case is because I know many of the people involved including the witnesses for PPL which now doesn't even go by that name. I'm wondering where your info is coming from because from what I know she WAS living off of him! She had a couple different part time jobs but made nothing more than minimum wage a couple days a week. Her money put gas in her car, bought food a couple days a month, and paid for her makeup and and clothes. She did not pay any mortgage let alone half. And chipping in $20 a month for bills doesn't count as paying half! And most of the time she was not working at all! I live here and that does NOT pay a mortgage in Palm Desert! That doesn't even pay a utility bill here where electricity alone is $400-$500 per month!! Once she was on her own she couldn't support herself at all and that's why she moved back home with her parents.

I got my information from the trial, when Darryl Brewer testified under oath and said that after Jodi met Travis, she continued to pay the mortgage but stopped paying other bills.

Have you been watching the trial?

I've been watching but not all of it. I have to youtube the videos that are uploaded by trial watchers because I am working during the day when it's on. I just doubt what Daryl was saying because I know she didn't make much money so I'm not sure how she could have contributed very much. She worked as a waitress across the street from me when she lived with him and got fired and was jobless for a while after that and did nothing. It sounds to me like he still has feelings for her and wanted to paint her in the best light possible.

Darryl and Jodi bought the house in mid 2005 and in 2007 it had foreclosed. That's two years! If anyone knows about foreclosure, you have to stop paying on it a while before it reaches final foreclosure. So, it actually looks like neither of them made payments!

A rare girl like Jody does not really have to pay their own way .. she had something priceless, beyond sex, few guys even understand what Jody has, but I do .. her older bf, would have been way out of line to expect her to chip in, but apparently she did try to share expensea

I give Jody credit for not being a Gold Digger .. she really wanted to be the main stream good girl

For those of you in Mobile Homes, in Cat City, try one of those conmbo AC/Swamp coolers to defray those $400 summer cooling bills.

Not Cat City. PD, PS, CC, RM are all very close together. Not sure why topix states that as my location but I don't really care. Do mobile homes have large electric bills? That didn't really make much sense....confusing me???

Just curious LA Guy, are you an older or younger guy? Or something in the middle. Obviously you don't have to answer but I find it intriguing how some can view her as a gold digger and others not with the same info.

Not nice, you're right. But sometimes a little silly banter is fun! I have a tendency to not feel sorry for people. I've been told I'm a bit cynical and callous towards humans which I do not mean to be but I guess it's just who I am.

After thinking more in depth about that, I don't have ANY pity for her family. I feel if they had raised her correctly she would be well adjusted and not react the way she did to not having things the way she wanted them. Again, if she didn't like the way Travis treated her, she should have gone away! She was socially and emotionally inappropriate and that had to be something that was caused by or grossly overlooked by her family whether intentional or not. So, in contrast to Travis' family's pain, her family is at least partly responsible for their own pain. So, I don't feel very bad making fun of them. Sorry, just stating the truth about how I feel.

Was just joking around with you. I know about all of the greater PS Coachella towns and the deal with confusing IP locations. They had me in Van Nuys for awhile, btw, I like the desert.

Fifty Two

None of her BF's really had money...doubt if any of them were bringing in much more than 100k annualy....if she was a Gold Digger, particularly with her seductive charm and unique look, she would have been targeting affluent guys.

Jody was a romantic, a Latina who loved too much. She also wanted to be good girl and sought a life with mainstream clean cut Anglo men. She had a Fetish for them. I have known her type, btw, I'm currently into dating Asian. Now, an affluent mature guy has to have his Gold Digger radar alert on with them.

Are you rethinking this case as Manslaughter, although I will admit that on a technical basis it could be first degree murder. Keep in mind that Manslaughter is still a homicide, with substantial prison time.

I thought it was humor but wasn't totally sure. Context is so difficult to gauge through type. Is manslaughter an option for the jury? I know sometimes they can convict on a lesser charge but don't really know how that works. I'm still going for 1st degree, myself. I can't get past her driving hundreds of miles with a gun and kitchen knife and making sure not to leave a trail. Regardless of how he may/may not have treated her, my brain just can't wrap itself around manslaughter with that info.
That bf was one who would have liked to think he had money, but he had none and apparently couldn't pay his own bills. But if she wasn't a gold digger, she at the least lacked ambition and wanted a man to take care of her. It's a trait that I find sickening and pathetic in women! Makes the rest of us get bad raps! There seem to be many men who like that though and I just don't get it. I see a lot of it living here...men who have educated, successful, good-looking wives and they cheat with girls I can only categorize as losers. I've never understood?
