God created a man and a woman, not a man and a man or a woman and a woman. Where are we reading the Bible incorrectly? Sodom and Gommorah was destroyed because of sexual immorality, The New Testament talks about homosexuality being wrong in a few different places. We are to love our neighbor, yes, but we are to hate the sin. That doesn't just mean homosexuality, but all other sins. Does that mean each of us is perfect? No, but it does mean that we should strive not to do things which we know are wrong and to be sorry when we fail. If I were homosexual, how would I ever be sorry for having relations that I know is wrong? I couldn't because I would be steeped in that lifestyle and that is the problem with homosexuality. It is a lifestyle choice. Just because it is now the law of the state, why would you force someone to do what they believe to be wrong? I'm sure you must have a conscience about something. There must be something you consider morally and or ethically wrong? How would you feel if all of a sudden someone forces you to make a decision opposite of your beliefs about those issues? So, please stop trying to force those millions of us to change our beliefs by being bullied. I applaud Judge Tabor. Stick to your beliefs, Judge!

You personally may have an issue with Gay and Lesbian couples getting married based on your religious beliefs.......but we have a SECULAR Government and it CAN NOT be guided by your religious views!!!

As for your comment regarding Sodom and Gomorrah......first, there irrelevant and secondly, it had nothing to do with immoral sexuality!!!

A Judge is required by LAW to serve ALL of the people REGARDLESS of his religious beliefs........and if his religious beliefs prevent him from performing his duty as a Justice of the Peace.....how can the folks of Washington trust that his religious beliefs won't interfere with his ability to remain impartial with his judgment when hearing cases involving murder, rape or any case that might involve victims who are Gay, Lesbian or Transgender?

Hopefully he was elected by the people and therefore not be reelected next time around!!!

are we talking "state" law or "federal" law...
are we talking if we can't trust a judge to stand for something how can we trust him for anything...
do we want "everyone" to just go w/the flow...
i believe he as a judge had judged rightfully so anyone who has been before his bench... i believe for many reasons if he just doesn't have people who are announcing publicly their sexual preferences then he doesn't have to rightfully so... make judgement.

just to note... i am from olympia...
and really how many people go into court and say... "your honor i plea not guilty for those theft charges or parking ticket and by the way i'm gay"... i mean really it's not like gays are walking neon signs and if they don't publicly announce that everywhere they go then there's no stance on any fact that they were charged differently in any case because of their sexuality... let's get real and stop throwing darts in the dark.

I don't hate christians, I just hate how they push their delusion onto everyone else. I also hate how they attack and kill people who disagree with them. I also hate how they bomb abortion clinics. It's not that christians are evil, it's that christianity is evil. Hate the sin and not the sinner, no?

According to your choice of beliefs, too bad that such a belief is contradicted by scripture.
Chloe wrote:
Where are we reading the Bible incorrectly?
Well dear, you started with Genesis Chapter 1 and apparently are heading to Chapter 19 to continue reading it incorrectly.
Chloe wrote:

Why is it that just about every self-professed Christian who preaches an anti-gay theology comes across as if they never actually read the Bible? Sweetie, the prophet Isaiah explains quite clearly why God saw fit to commit genocide in the region and oddly enough, sexual immorality is nowhere on the list. He does mention an abomination which had been committed in his sight, but that was a reference to the WOMEN of Sodom etc having sex with angels and giving birth to the race of giants found in Genesis Chapter 6. As for the New Testament, depending on the accuracy of the translation, there is only one mention of same sex sexual acts (not homosexuality) and then it is only mentioned as the first of God's punishments of the (presumably mostly heterosexual) Christians of Rome for their idolatry. Paul writes that he is absolutely horrified by such acts, but he clearly writes that it was what they had coming to them.
Chloe wrote:
We are to love our neighbor, yes, but we are to hate the sin.
You are also asked to do unto others as you would have done unto you dear, or have you forgotten about that?
Chloe wrote:

How about hubris and sanctimony?
Chloe wrote:

Says the person here happily pointing out the sins of others. Again, I have to ask, have you ever actually read the Bible? And by this I mean from cover to cover, Genesis to Revelation and not just in bits and pieces "studying" the Bible.
Chloe wrote:

Sweetie, you do not know it is wrong, you have made the choice to believe it is wrong, major,,, major difference. You seem to be forgetting that there are many Christians who have read the very same Bible that you claim to but have come away with an entirely different message for God's lesbian and gay children.
Chloe wrote:
I couldn't because I would be steeped in that lifestyle and that is the problem with homosexuality.
Dear, the only problem with homosexuality is having to deal with self-professed good Christians such as yourself who can't fake having a clue as to what you are talking about, but insist on talking about it anyways.

Sorry dear, what you have chosen to believe is a "lifestyle choice" (and a very unfortunate one at that), being gay is a gift from our creator.
Chloe wrote:

He is an employee of all the people, if the honorable Judge cannot act in a fair and impartial manner, he is clearly not qualified to be in his position. I have to wonder why self-professed good Christians keep insisting that they should have the right to legally punish us for being gay just because they made the lifestyle choice to believe it is wrong? No other God blessed bigotries are given that sort of protection, why should this?
Chloe wrote:

Of course we do dear, it is you that I am beginning to wonder about.
Chloe wrote:

Yes and you're doing one of them here.
Chloe wrote:

I would step away from doing the job, not make a public statement that I intend on violating the law meant for ALL not just some and dare someone to challenge me on it.
Chloe wrote:

Jesus, save us from of your self-professed Christians, they seem to have forgotten your lesson about doing unto others, but maybe you can forgive them anyways.

Did you approve of the homofascist fanatic that murdered a Mormon bishop in California, leaving young children with no father?
How about all the post Prop 8 attacks on people and churches? Do you approve of what your fellow hateful homofascist fanatics did there?
So then you admit your logic is failed. You hate gay people, end of story.

Well, there is no reason to attempt to answer questions that are not based on reality at all, considering the made up word "homofascist," which the term itself is contradictory if you look at the root words. So why should I even bother attempting to answer questions that are not based on reality at all?

Who'd want a (literally) witch hunter officiating at their wedding anyway? This guy, while deputy prosecutor for Thurston County, bragged about how he was going to be the 1st one in the country to convict a witch's coven in the Paul Ingram case.(One can read about Mr. Tabor by searching for 'remembering satan''new yorker' to find the excellent New Yorker piece exposing this tiny little man w/the power now to sign death warrants. He was so obsessed with looking for witches, he bankrupted the Thurston County Sheriff's budget. The Dept. had to make an emergency appeal to the State Legislature for $ to finish out the year. Yet voter elected this guy who was also a supporter and close associate of the Kiawana's Boys Ranch which was exposed for its pattern of sexual abuse of the children there.
Yeah, I'd think anyone who really knew this guy would rather have someone else officiating during the happiest day of their life.
