Full story: The Washington Post

Equal rights on a STATE level isn't quite EQUALITY.
Cross the state line and those rights DISAPPEAR.
Obama's lip service means nothing unless he is actually going to DO SOMETHING with his words, like declare his desire to have these equal rights ON THE FEDERAL LEVEL.
But nope. He wants the states to handle that (which is what they have been doing all along).
Once again, he proves himself to be ALL TALK and NO ACTION.
With THIS Congress ?!!?!!!?

You want something different ... give him a different Congress.

Send him a Bill that isn't made toxic with add-ons and he'll sign it.

Wasn't it Stumblebum Biden who "mentioned it" and "set him up" ?
:)
I agree. Biden as usual said a bit to much. I have always found Biden a disaster and would have loved a different VP.

Biden looked good against Palin but other than that he has been a parrot who has no off switch.
If you recall he was not told about the Osama strike till after the fact because he can not shut his mouth.

The election is going to be to the wire and this was not the time to tick off the old school southern blue dog dems who voted 70% for Obama last election.

I would love to see Biden off the ticket and see Hillary but that is just a dream.

I think you miss the point. The fact is Obama and his minions speak of everything in terms of "the collective", "fairness", "equal" & "rights". The right to a job, the right to an education, the right to get health care, on and on and on.
Just listen carefully to what these Progressive/Socialist/Marxists say. There is no better proof of their narcissistic and elitist attitudes than to simply listen to their own words. It could not be anymore obvious.
I was under the impression that the job of a president was to do for his country and citizens.

I know republicans subscribe to only doing for a select few and themselves.

A president trying to improve the economy, create jobs, insure the growing unisured and simply improve things is not a socialist but an actual president.

A concept which the GOP does not grasp. The GOP motto is "do not do a thing for anyone but the rich".

Everything you posted here is UNTRUE. The so-called "liberals" are Marxist-Stalinists. They do NOT believe in teh First Amendment, the Second Amendment, nor just about anything else in the U.S. Constitution. They brook NO dissent from towing the Stalinist line.
They are Evil. PURE EVILģ.
Any my Uncle George (my Uncle George Lincoln Rockwell was a GREAT AMERICAN !) would agree.
I am sure your uncle was a great American but this tea party owned GOP is not the GOP your uncle knew.
The GOP wants you to vote for them but they want nothing to do with you.

"They are Evil. PURE EVIL"

The "evil" bunch are the republicans. The day Obama was sworn in the GOP has done all they could to hurt the country, hurt the average person and thus hurt the president.

When Bush was in power, the Dems met him half way and perhaps bit to much but they did not want to hurt the country in order to hurt Bush.

This is short and an interesting article.

btw, the Dems in Cali now have total control of the state government. Governor Moonbeam is a Dem, the Assembly has a Dem majority, and the Senate has a Dem majority.
California's budget deficit has swelled to a projected $16 billion, much larger than had been predicted just a few months ago, and it will force severe cuts to schools and public safety.
The Dems are ALWAYS financially IRRESPONSIBLE wit the taxpayers' money. Why should people put the Dems in charge if they're going to bankrupt the states, as they have already done to the federal government ?

Funny how you fundy trolls always forget about the fact that Republicans also waste the taxpayers' money. What about the worthless adventure in Iraq? What about the Reagan's worthless Star Wars Defense Shield?
