Generosity is a wonderful thing, but there are 17,500 employees at UVA and the UVA Medical Center, so that's an average of slightly over $50 per employee. The top 250 earners at UVA made $62 million in 2010, so the total is only 1.5% of their pay.

Most uva employees do not have the money to give to others! Going on six years without a raise has really hurt employees there. Gas was under $2.00 a gallon when we got our last raise. I know of employees that have to visit the ffod bank just to feed their families and they are full time employees of uva.

I have to ask the numbers man, what does he give, IF anything?
Something is better than nothing.

Not THIS employee! No raise in 6 years; parking costs went up; FICA went up; health insurance went up; gas has doubled (and ergo so has everything else)-- I can barely afford to GET here! If they expect those of us that make below the state average to struggle to make ends meet AND donate -- guess again.

They should give a list of people, their names, where they work & how much they gave.
Some employees don't get raises for years, not like administration who gets raises every year.
When there is a raise, the health insurance is increased & they don't even see an increase. They must think employees are dumb!

I saw the website. It's all foreign countries. How about helping our own people in the US first!
