Besides the fact that contraception brings up religious resistance, what about forcing insurance policies to cover (and charge for in premiums) something not everybody needs??
Making people PAY for something that is unnecessary for them:
There are women who want children and won't be using it.
There are women who have had hysterectomies and won't be using it.
There are women who have gone through menopause and won't be using it.
There are women who are lesbians who have no use for it.
But all of them are REQUIRED BY LAW to have health insurance coverage that they don't need.
It's like forcing lactose intolerant people to pay for milk they will not drink !!
