I agree that Vin Hoe is the place to go, but Great wall has great food at a very reasonable price. It is like any buffet, you get the best when their busy, quality starts to go down as things sit longer. I can take myself and my three kids and its $22.00 it will go up to 36.00 when all my kids are 12 or older. That is not bad for 4 people to eat. I have three kids with very different tastes and dislikes and it pleases all of them.

The lady that said "15 minit" is not there anymore. At least I have not seen here there in months. there is a "smaller" lady there and she is very sweet but I truly miss the "15 minit" lady. love that place! My son and I get take out. Full ordr of hot braised chicken, half oder of beef fried rice, two orders of crab ragoon and it's like $16.00and some change. I just give a $20.00 and tell them to keep it... they ALWAYS say thank you, thank you.:) |

I have lived here most of my life and yesterday is the first day I went there. I thought I would try it. We got there at 3:13 and lunch prices were until 3:15 which is close but still within the time. She charged me full price. When I questioned it she said too late they had already changed to dinner menu. I said well your sign says 3:15?? I know it is only about $1.50 difference but it is the principle. She said it was too late. I told her I wouldn't be back. Then when I got to get food you could tell that it was not "new" food and as they did start to bring out the new food they put it on top of the old food. Before the meal was over, my grandson had to use the bathroom as did I when I got home (if you catch my meaning). Lesson learned. I just wanted to vent a little. As I walked out, she started talking to the man next to her in Chinese. I thought so that is how you say bi##ch in Chinese :)

Food bourne illnesses take 24-48 hours to have syptoms...So for those of you that thibk you were sick 10 and 15 minutes after you ate have no clue what you are talking about. However, I do agree Great Wall is not that great. Vin Hoa is the best hands down.

This is not completely accurate. Yes, most foodborne ILLNESS take up to 48 hours or more to develop. Foodborne INTOXICATION, which is illness caused by contaminants to food such as chemicals, or by microorganisms that produce toxins such as Staphylococcus aureus or Clostridium botulinum. If ingested, symptoms such as nausea or vomiting, can develop in as little as 1 hour after eating. Just thought you might like to know |
