Letter: Light obscenity demeans Christmas
In regard to the Denham Springs woman who used Christmas lights on the roof of her house to make an obscene gesture: What I fail to understand is how the behavior of this resident can be condoned or, worse, defended by anyone or any group.

If you concede that she had the right, you answered your own question. I don't think anyone is saying she's going to win popularity contests for it. What people are saying is that Denham Springs had no right to pass an unconstitutional ordinance, and the police had no right to threaten to ticket her if she didn't take the lights down.
