At least someone recognizes the delay. Now what is congress going to do about it?

I'm afraid all veterans will ever see in speeches and lies. Action on anything is beyond the capability of this Congress and President. I'm ready to flip a coin between the two parties and give the winner the ability to pass new laws without them being contested by teh other party. In four years the voters either approve the ruling party or the other one takes over. Not a perfect system but it would create some action.

For me it's too late. I worked at the VA and saw vets being brutally beaten, a female veteran employee attacked and molested. A vet jumped from a window which all windows lacked safety devices. He was a retired Colonel and head of the NYS Veterans Service Agency. What a shame. One vet drove his NYC Parks Department truck to the VA ER and fell out having a heart attack. The MOD locked the ER door and refused to treat the veteran. He told VA Police to call 911. The VA Director was most happy that the staff "Let the city take care of the city." A security guard who abused vets was hired to be a VA Chief of Police. The tor said he didn't care if two wounded soldiers died just get them the hell out of his hospital before their DOD funding ran out.

Sounds like a typical VA to me. Most of the things that happen within a VA is so outrageous that it has been nearly impossible to convince Congress and the public at large what our Veterans have endured at the hands of the VA's Management. Finally there is enough evidence to provide the long sought after truth. Now it's up to the Congress and the President to correct the problems before more veterans die.

IF only we could believe? Been lied to so many times before, how do you develop trust in a failed system that kills due to negligence? I have known my family doctor at the VA for over 30 years and he will speak 'off the cuff' and recommend another hospital outside the VA because the doctors do not have the medical expertise to treat my medical history. I have had better success with doctors outside the VA. Thanks to them I am walking again!
