Call one of the elementary schools and ask. I am sure that you can as my daughter was able to donate several just this morning.

My kids donated stuffed animals that were bears, monkeys, elephants, tigers, lions, panda bears, cards to be signed by a few classes, and money to help with shipping at Sunset.

The point of flooding a grieving town with teddy bears.

Perhaps?

you are right....but these are good sentiments.....and just maybe the kids that get these will see that others are thinking of them.....but the fact is that these kids are in a very wealthy community and probably dont need or want these gifts....so maybe new toys or coats etc....would be better.....what i think will happen is that the media will report this ....maybe....and then the community will donate these to some other low income area in the name of the sandy hook community....either way ....its still a good thing to show the people over there that we over here have a heart...or some do anyways....

Why can't you write a complete post? In general, I find your posts irritating to read!

There should be more people like this little girl who's taking the collection of teddy bears. It's a wonderful thing to do and only a fool wouldn't be able to get that!

weather you get it or not, that little girl does. she understands that sometimes when tragedy strikes you should stand up and do something. maybe she cant do anything about the lives lost or the images that are forever going to haunt the kids that made it, but at least they know there was someone who cared enough to reach out, and do something, anything...

We should pray that the children live again.

Exactly!! The word is whether, not weather (wind, sun, rain, snow, tornado, hurricane....)

Too much to write concerning tragedy, comfort, and your name says it all.

Notice I didn't direct anything bad at the bear-drive child. Thankfully the 'lazy atheist' post below sorta maps out where I'm going with this - for which I'm surprised and greatful.

I view all things in their simplist most literal form. I don't get those festooned crosses by the side of road commemorating a killed motorist. Dead people can't read sappy memorials about them.

If I were a kid who didn't get shot but was next to some kid who did get shot, I'd either feel very glad or be overwhelmed with guilt and feel confused about why I felt both.

How in the world would getting free swag from strangers help or change any of that?

Nothing fixes something unfixable. All attempts are just fooling the attemptor. That's what I'm trying to say.

This reminds me of the 2 year olds at the daycare.
Boy if they could talk! They were always fighting
over everything but they never said a word.
They would hit each other with the toys.
